Off to Denver!

Hi ladies,

I am off to Denver for the Stampin' Up! convention this morning. Can't wait to meet up with my California friends. It will be 4 days of fun, fun, fun!!

I wanted to clear up some questions I've been receiving...first, you register for Catalog Kick-Off through Suzie just like years past. Mail or take her the registration and you can pick up the new catalog early if you don't want to wait for the CKO. I won't be working the kick-off this year but will be back in October for the annual 10/$10. I've put in for the first Saturday in October at Royer Park and will let you all know. Invitations will go out mid September. I can only accept the first 40.

Secondly, I am still your demonstrator for as long as you would like. I can take your orders by e-mail or phone and have them shipped directly to you. I started this blog so you can continue to get ideas and see what I am doing. I am in no way leaving you abandon to find another demonstrator :) Eventually some of you who want to continue to do stamp club and attend classes may find another demonstrator who can fill your needs and that is ok too, I definitely understand that! That is why I had Lori at the open house with her display of card classes. Other demonstrators that I would recommend who are actively doing classes and stamp clubs are Suzie Barnes and Janice Urke. You can e-mail me if you want more info on their classes. I hope this helps answer some of the questions you might have and ease your feelings of abandonment...we may all need counseling over this!! :)

We are getting settled in quite nicely here. I register the boys for school in two weeks. George is very happy with his job. My family will be here Friday night for the weekend. It's been a year and I can't wait to see them all again. They seem to think Christmas will be at my house this year...don't I get a break on the first year? I have had many requests for pictures of the house and my new stamping cubby. When I return form Denver I'll take a few and post them. It's small but it beats the heck out of stamping at the dining room table and getting it all cleaned up before dinner!

I'll have exciting things to share after the convention, so check back Monday. I already know that Sell-A-Bration will be February 1-March 31. Can't wait for other exciting announcements!!

3 x 3 Box of Cards

Still stamping for convention...these are 3 x 3 cards and envelopes for the Splitcoast Stampers dinner door prize. I used the new scallop punch for the first time and I really like it. You'll defininately be seeing more things with that punch! Guess what? the cards are Rose Red...I know, shocking!
The clear box is from clearbags.com

Big Bold Birthday

Using the same pull out template as yesterday, I completed 25 of these for the WOW swap at convention. I used the new Big Bold Birthday stamp set, which I LOVE and can't tear myself away from the Rose Red cardstock. I know I am in a rut but, it's my favorite color :)

The cupcake is stamped in Old Olive. The frosting is stamped in Pretty in Pink on Pretty in Pink cardstock with Regal Rose polka dots. The candles are Chocolate Chip colored in with More Mustard marker and will have dazzling diamonds on the flames.

Survival Kit

I have three of my downline girls attending the convention so I decided to make them a little gift... a Convention Survival Kit. I started with a $2 Johnson & Johnson first aid kit from Target, added Purell and gum, stamped and Sticky Stripped it to the box. I used Chocolate Chip, Apricot Appeal and Certainly Celery cardstock. I stamped the new Define Your Life words in Chocolate Chip and added a couple of Rose Red butterflies from the new Priceless set. I added the new Chocolate Chip 5/8" Grosgrain ribbon around the box. It was the perfect size!

I hope they are not looking right now :)

Swap Card

I am leaving Monday for Denver for the Stampin' Up! convention. I have been working on a couple of swap cards. This one is for the splitcoast stampers dinner. It is a pull out card and the directions can be found here:

I used the Wild About You set, Certainly Celery cardstock, Basic Gray pad and cardstock and the new Olive grosgrain ribbon.

We're Here!

I thought I would take a minute from unpacking the thousand boxes of whatever it is that I carried all the way from California, to say hi and we made it! The movers came Tuesday morning and I've been unpacking every since. I have the downstairs living area pretty much done and am heading upstairs to the bedrooms the rest of the week. I am moving at record speed...I have stamping to do! I got into a little bit of my stamping stuff last night to make sure all my boxes were in the right spot for unpacking and appearently when they load the moving van they turn things on the side or in this case upside down. My Rubbermaid drawer thing is all topsy turvy and brads and eyelets and buttons are everywhere! I'll have to pay one of the boys to sit there and sort. It's a mess but it's all here!

I have pictures from the open house to post probably tomorrow. Thank you to everyone who came to it and all the well wishes on the move. I was a little overwhelmed by the support I received! My customers and friends are the best :)

Take care!

Little Lady

This is the make & take card my customers will be making at the Open House Saturday. It is made using the new Pick a Petal stamp set and the new In Color River Rock cardstock. That color is really growing on me but sure doesn't photograph well. It is really pretty with Real Red. The scallop edge is made using the slit punch. Whoever came up with that one was a genious!! :) I hope they like it.

This is the last post for a while as we are moving this Sunday to Idaho. I've got a lot of stamping to do when I unpack so stay in touch! See ya!

Holy Cow!!!

Look what the UPS man brought me! This, my friends, is a $500 order...and it's all mine :)

I sorta ordered a bunch of new ribbon (it may have been 13 rolls but I am not counting), the new Pretties kit, lots of paper, inks, 10 stamp sets (plus 2 hostess sets), 5 new punches, new note cards, brads, and all three new clipboards because I couldn't decide on one. I'll have all of this on display at my open house...I can't wait to show you all!

My UPS man told me good-bye and that he would miss my greetings when I move. I think he got used to the cold bottles of water and an occasional hot cookie!

Mini Clipboard Tags

I needed some little tags to attach to backordered items and after searching the gallery at Spiltcoast Stampers, I combined several ideas and came up with these. The clipboard size is 3 3/4 x 2 1/2. I think I'll make some of these for Christmas tags also! These use the new Pick A Petal Set and the beautiful new Rhinestone Brads. The lines are from Office Accroutrements (without the brackets) and I used the Spiral Punch and the Round Tab Punch.

Double-Line Doodles

These are little 3x3 scrapbook page albums I made for favors for my Open House. They are Rose Red, So Saffron and Almost Amethyst with the new matching designer series background papers. Start with cutting your cardstock 12"x3". Score at 3", 6" and 9". Fold it up and add background paper and embellishments.
