Cool Sliding Card

This is a cool idea I found in a magazine a while ago and decided to try. I started with two 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" pieces of Chocolate Chip. Fold them in half the short way and Sticky Strip the 2 shortest sides together. The center piece is Whisper White cut 5 1/4" x 3 1/2". Stamp whatever you like on the white piece and slide it inside the 2 Chocolate Chip pockets you just made. Fold a piece of cardstock around the card for a belly band, I also added 3/8" Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon. Sticky Strip the two ends of the belly band together in the front of the card (do not tape TO the card) and attach whatever focal point stamped piece you've chosen to use. I used the Pun Fun coffee cup, cut it out and placed it on stampin' dimensionals. Sorry this third picture is so dark. If you click on, it enlarges and is easier to see.

The kids have been on Spring Break this week and my husband took the week off to do taxes...what fun! We've been busy doing all kinds of activities, keeping everyone occupied. The great news is that I have been able to get the cards done for my first on line class offer!! Look for more details to be posted next week.

Customer Request...Can You Help??

Does anyone have letters 'C' and 'D' from the Upper Monogram Alphabet that was in the Fall and Winter Stampin' up catalog?? They are the big ones the size of the background stamps and were $16.95 each.

If you have one or both that you would be willing to part with, please e-mail me at yasou@cableone.net.

Thanks so much!

Edited to add: Thank you for all the great responses. She was able to get both letters!

Monochromatic Friend Card

I was so excited to get some new papers, so when my Bali Breeze paper arrived I was ready to go. I sat down and pulled them all out and drew a complete blank. I've seen so many darling things done with them and none of them were coming to me. The papers are so bright and colorful and soooo not me...I was in big trouble. I love the pinks so I went with a monochromatic Pomegranate look. What am I going to do with all the oranges and teals and greens left in the package????? I'll figure it out I'm sure.

This card uses All Holidays & Little Flowers sets. 3/4" & 1 1/4" circle punches, scallop punch, slit punch, 1/8" circle punch, rhinestone brads and Pomegranate ribbon.

Heartfelt Thanks Pocket and Box

Today's card set was made with Heartfelt Thanks and the Le Jardin designer paper. I also used Always Artichoke and So Saffron cardstock. This is one of my favorite styles of pocket card and made these for a gift.
I was going to put them in a clear box until I found this great box tutorial on Toy's blog. I'll put the link below. This box is easy to make, has clear instructions but is HUGE. It turns out pretty cute though!

Totally Tote Bag

A Totally Tote Bag for a friend. The pattern can be found on in Leigh O'Brien's gallery on splitcoast.

Her favorite color combo is Black and Cream and she loves Zebra prints.

I covered a lip stick and the finger nail clippers with the paper and Micro Beads. The nail file is a little pocket slider and has a zebra brad on the front. The little box holds 2 Hershey Kisses.

Hope she loves it!

Hanging Treat Box

This pattern is currently on the home page of http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ and will be moved to the Resources page shortly. It was so easy to make as it has an excellent tutorial.
This is suppose to hang over the top of a water bottle but it also looks cute hanging on my shelf peg.
These would make great party favors. You could fill the pocket with microwave popcorn and sling it over a bottle of Diet Coke or how about a bag of peanuts over a bottle of beer? Skip the peanuts... :)

Baptism Favors

Before we moved, we were asked to be the 'God Family' (not just the God parents :) for Gabriel, our friends baby who hadn't yet been born. He was finally born the day before we moved! We are so bummed that we will miss the baptism, but will be there in spirit. Good luck Dana & Beth. You know if I were there he wouldn't scream through it! The box is the Easiest Box Pattern Ever from an earlier post.

Happy Birthday Nicholas!

Ooooh, I am so sad today. My tiny baby is turning 9 years old today! How can that happen when I just brought him home from the hospital yesterday??

He is a handsome, strong, polite, smart young man who is full of energy and I am so proud of him. Happy Birthday Nicholas!

Heritage School Band Concert

It was the first ever (since it's a brand new school) Heritage Middle School 6th grade band concert! The kids played beautifully and looked so sharp in their uniforms. They played several songs then each child had a 30 second solo performance before the tables were turned and the parents had to play for the Grand Finale!

Can you see how excited George is to be playing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star??? He had been practicing for his debut all week.
The parents sounded surprisingly pretty good!
