Third Annual 10 for $10 Projects

Here they are! As promised for October 1st, these are the projects for my Third Annual 10 for $10 show which happens to be on National Card Making Day this year. Hope you like them :)

It's been pretty busy around here. As I am sure you've noticed, I haven't posted anything for quite a while. I've been knee deep in paper cutting. Cutting 50 each of 10 projects is a lot of piles of paper!!! We are going to have a great time and I can't wait to see all of you again.

Reminder: Saturday, October 6th
9 am to Noon
Please bring your scissors, adhesive, bone folder and catalog.
The class is FULL, please be on time so we can finish by noon.

Fancy Rolodex

One of the local scrapbooking stores offered this class for the Rolodex that I thought about taking. It came as a kit and it was in blues and it wasn't very embellished but was a very neat idea. So I stopped by Wally World and bought a Rolodex and over the past few days have started putting this thing together. It has been fun to work on and create these little tiny pages. I am not done but wanted to show you it so far....cuz sometimes I get to excited to hold it in! What do you think?

Cupcakes Anyone??

This is a combination of two things I found on splitcoast stampers. I really liked the cards so kinda cased them with a few touches of my own, but really hated the box that went with them. I am trying to make a little box or even a purse, but the one that fits the cards (brown) looks silly with the cupcake being smaller than the box. The other one has a little box attached behind but looks GIANT compared to the size of the 3x3 cards. I think I don't like them because they are not stamped images, they are just cut-out pieces of paper. Any suggestions??? I may just give up and make a purse that has the same image stamped on the front and actually matches.

Wedding Card

My niece Emily is suppose to get married next August. She handed me some ribbon color swatches and asked me what I thought of her colors. It is mainly navy blue with the lighter blue and the green thrown in there. George's niece had a navy wedding last July and I told her she had to change her colors if she wanted me to do anything for the wedding...cuz I already did navy blue once! Don't you think that was a reasonable request? Needless to say, I think I am in for another navy blue summer wedding. I am sending her this card for her engagement congratulations...with only a little bit of navy showing :)

Snowmen

Another card with The Jolliest Time of the Year using River Rock and Real Red combo. You know how I get stuck on a color and can't move on... Love the snow wheel for the background! I wish the Dazzling Diamonds glitter photographed well. It is super sparlky in real life.

Santa's Coming!

It has been beautiful here with the temperature slightly dropping, chilly morning and the leaves on the verge of turning beautiful fall colors. Makes me start to think about Christmas. I've been working on fall, Halloween and Christmas projects and I have a couple of Christmas cards I want to share with you. This one is using the Jolliest Time of the Year. I masked the tree so it looks like Santa is standing in front of it. The background is the new jumbo wheel from the Holiday Mini Catalog...so cool. River Rock cardstock with Real Red is beautiful together. This card is called a tent card. The card itself is 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" and then you add the topper to measure the height at 5 1/2" ; so the card is the standard size of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and will fit in a regular envelope.

Clip Board Pictures

I bought the 3-clip clipboard when the new catalog came out and have been thinking about what to do with it ever since...I know, it took a while! I painted the clipboard with red acrylic paint and sanded the edges with an emery board before starting. Same with the star from the On Board Accents. Then I laid down a piece of background paper and layered my pictures on top. Pretty cool, huh??

More Cutie Pie Paper

You know, when you find something you love, why fight it? I love this Cutie Pie paper and that is all there is to it! These are MY colors man, and I love working with them. I stamped a couple of these cards with the Define Your Life stamp set and the other one is from It's Your Birthday. I also used a flower and pearl from the new Pretties kit. Not sure how they will mail, but they sure are pretty.
