Let's Be Frank

Anyone ready for a little Halloween fun?
This is a cute die set called Let's Be Frank from the Halloween Collection at Spellbinders.   It is deeply etched for lots of texture and detail.
These cards are quick and easy and would be cute on treats or tags!

For this card, I cut a bunch of Franks and simply glued them randomly on the card nilly-willy style.

This card uses the Plaid Company Embossing Folder on the background and the oval dies to create an official portrait of Frankie. 👻 The Boo is from the Spooky Boo Etched Die set.

The other dies in this set make a pair of witch legs and a witch hat.  It has different cut outs for the stockings so you can choose, or in this case, use both.  The spider is from the Spooky Boo Etched Die set and I added a feather to her hat.

For my last card, I started from the bottom up with cutting the brim of the hat and using it as her skirt.  I gathered a little bit of tulle and stuffed it behind the brim and then adhered the legs inside.

Thinking of You Garden Harvest Florals

One of my very favorite sets from the Autumn Splendor release is this Garden Harvest Florals set.
I love the mix of foliage with berries and pods, it makes it much more interesting than just leaves.

I stamped and embossed the Thinking of You in white embossing powder on black cardstock and placed them on three planks from the Barnwood Planks die set.  It adds a little texture.

Spellbinders Holiday 2021 Blog Hop

Welcome to the Spellbinders Blog Hop featuring products from the Holiday 2021 Collections.
Have you seen all the new August Releases
There are some really awesome things for the upcoming seasons and this super cute new Add To Cart Collection 😍.
I love this time of year!!

Today I'm featuring my own collection with Spellbinders  called Add To Cart.

My first card uses the Add To Cart 3D Shopping Cart and is full of Christmas presents.  The shopping cart is tied up with a big red festive bow!
The presents and tree are from the Shopping Cart Holiday and Presents Add On and the Shopping Bag is from the Shopping Bags Die Set and I stuffed a festive piece of tissue paper in it.
The embossed background on the card is with the Plaid Company Embossing Folder.

For this card, I started with the Plaid Company Embossing Folder for the background and stacked presents on top of presents from the Shopping Cart Holiday and Presents Add On. This is a fun way to use that die set without the shopping cart.  This would be great for birthday presents, wedding presents and any occasion you would need a gift for,

Here is another way to use Add To Cart. I put the shopping cart full of presents in front of the Christmas tree and then put them both behind the window.
The window is from the Window View Die Set, (I'm currently not finding it on the website, I hope it hasn't gone away!)

Then to make it extra fun, I used a set of EZ Lights from Pear Blossom Press to light the tree,  They are super easy to use, each light set has 3 light and a fairly low profile battery that you can easily hide by mounting the card on foam squares.
To use: Decide where you want the lights and mark with a pencil.
Poke a hole, or in this case, slide under the tree bough, and insert the light.
Secure it on the back with a piece of Scotch tape or washi tape.
Turn it over to look at it and make sure everything is in place and no adjustments are needed.  If it all looks good, then gently fold the excess wire behind the tree and secure with tape.  The back is pretty nasty looking, but when you adhere it to the card, no one will even know.
I made sure all my wires were coming directly down the tree trunk so I could hide them with my window.

I adhered the battery pack to the card with double stick tape.  I cut off all pieces of my die cuts that would be hanging outside the window piece and then covered it all up with the window piece.  I embossed the gray cardstock with the Beach Towel Embossing Folder to look like house siding and popped it up on foam squares.
I've never done anything like this before and let me tell you, these lights are so COOL!!!  Definitely head over to Pear Blossom Press and check them out!  I've already got a couple more projects in mind using them!

I hope that helped you with some additional ideas on how to use the Add To Cart Collection!

Thank You For Everything

I seriously love these big, pretty blossoms!
This set is full of pieces and parts to build several size flowers and the set comes with an easy to use road map that tells you exactly what center and shading goes with each flower.

I paired the Lovely Blossoms Stamp Set and Dies with the Opposites Attract Stamps and Dies and the Opposites Attract Script Dies.  Using these together make such pretty sentiments.

Idaho Custom Creations September Tiered Tray Kit

I can hardly believe it's time for Halloween decor!
But if you enjoy making your own, September is the month to get it!

The September Tiered Tray kit is all Halloween - the fun kind of Halloween, not the scary.

My tray is from Felt Creative Home Goods and can be purchased HERE.

The kit comes with everything you need to complete the projects, from paint to jute for the banner.
This is a subscription kit, BUT you are able to pause it for the months you don't wish to receive.  Each month you get a freebie gift in your kit and this months is super cute!  You'll have to wait and be surprised, I decided not to show you.

I used my new white tray for this kit, I love the white against those bright colors.

The pumpkins on the top tray are for sale in the shop.

Candy Corn bottle brush trees are from Michaels. White houses from Hobby Lobby.

I asked Michelle to cut me some candy swirls so I could paint them for my tray. She has put them in the shop as a regular item for sale.  I can't wait to paint a BUNCH for my Christmas tray!
They are two pieces, the solid circle and the swirl.  I painted them, glued them together and wrapped them in cello wrap.

I love this little gnome, but I really love the raised frame around the edge.

Make sure you head over to Idaho Custom Creations. She has the kits but also lots of products for sale in the shop, risers, ladders, other sets, all kinds of great stuff to finish yourself.

September inserts for the Round Interchangeable Sign are available in the shop as well.  Cute Trick or Treat sign and a fun Boo with ghosts.
