Mini Tiered Trays

You all know by now how much I love my tiered tray!  So much so that I created mini tiered trays for Christmas gifts!
The size is approximately 3" wide by 5" tall.

Here it is in my cubby on the bottom right hand corner.

So how did I make them?  It all started with a bag of various size wood slices.  I chose the largest and second largest pieces.

I've included links from Amazon for similar items.  I bought mine at Craft Warehouse here in Boise.

You need 1/4" Dowels, I bought a pack of them and cut them down to 5".

I  drilled holes in the wood slices and cut the dowels to 5".  Inserted the dowels through the wood and added a spot of E6000 glue to the dowel. Then, I glued the finial to the top.  I also glued little tiny wooden beads to the bottom for feet.

I decorated them with items from the miniature section of the craft store.  I added greenery to the basket and made felt flowers for the wheelbarrow.
I painted wooden hearts and added ribbon around them.  I glued two hearts together so they would be wide enough to stand up.

The tiny apothecary glass jars are filled with sugar and I glued the cork so it would not spill.

I bought the tiny birds nest and added plastic eggs.
The white bottle brush trees were in the Christmas section (similar to these).

What do you think, are you ready to make some??

Picket Fence January Release Part Two

Today I am showing you part two of the Picket Fence Studios January Release!
I'm starting with the beautiful A Bride's Bouquet stamp set.  I love the cotton in this bouquet!

The card has the bouquet colored with Copic markers and a vellum strip with the sentiment embossed on it.

A Bride's Bouquet stamp set

This is one of the purses in my Fashionable Favorites tutorial available HERE.  I used the bouquet as a 'fabric' background and a few of the flowers for a tag.

I used my envelope punch board to create an envelope.  The flowers pull out and it is a congratulations card.
I colored the flowers with Copic markers and then hand cut out a few extra to make it more dimensional. The sentiment is embossed with black embossing powder.

These guys were fun to work with - BFF Maggie Mae stamp set and die, and Paul James Guy stamp set and die.
What I love most is the awesome sentiment set I used on both these cards called Seriously, Absolutely, Always.

The background is a stencil called Scrolls and the characters are colored with Copic markers.

Bawahaaa!  How many times have you said this?  I love these sentiments!!!
Seriously, Absolutely, Always Stamp Set

The background on this one used the Pretty Flowers in a Heart stencil.  The sentiment is embossed in white and she is colored with Copic markers.
As always these are just a few of the new release for Picket Fence Studios.  Please visit their website for all the new things!

Tall Type Tagalong Dies - Friday Feature For Concord & 9th

The Friday Feature for Concord & 9th this week is  Tall Type Tagalong Dies.
This set is designed to be used with the Tall Type Alphabet Dies.
I love the Rae Dunn look of these alphabets and adding the characters instead of a letter is fun.  I've done this with so many alphabets!

We all need happy mail, right?  Nothing happier than rainbows!

I put three of these balloons together instead of just one.  I wanted to use three different blue cardstocks to match the background.

I think I might add a little leaf to this flower but it's still cute as is.  The cat, Cheeto the brat, had a little munch on the corner of this card...sigh!

I know we're a long way away from Halloween, but look how fun this pumpkin is.

Don't shoot me...yes it is a Christmas card.  Just think, you could make all your cards now and be ready when it rolls around again!

Be sure to check out the Tall Type Tagalong Dies and the rest of he January release at Concord and 9th...ya know, there is a cute purse die released this month too and it is back in stock today (Friday).
