Kind Thanks

Lots of Kind Thanks going on here! I spotted a card similar to this on Stampin' Connections by mommie2quads (which just makes me exhausted to write) and loved how she let the Designer Series Paper take the focus on the card.
Cardstock: Old Olive, So Saffron, Rose Red, Whisper White
Stamp Set: Thank You Kindly, With All My Heart
Accessories: Extra large Fancy Flower, 1" Circle, Eyelet Border Punch, Rich Regals Brads, Trio Flower (which perfectly cuts out the small flower in the With All My Heart stamp set...gotta love that Stampin' Up! for always thinking for us!!

My Ace In Training son, Benjamin is still making cakes! This one was a practice one to keep up his skills on fondant roses. The colors were beautiful, even though you wouldn't know it by the color in this picture Ü

Flower Power

I'm having fun making all kinds of these paper flowers!

Cardstock: So Saffron, Old Olive, The Write Stuff Specialty paper
Stamp Set: With All My Heart
Accessories: 3/4", 1", 1-1/4". 1-3/8" Circle Punches, Earth Elements Brads, Soft Suede Polka Dot ribbon

How to make the flowers: Punch a circle from the 4 circle punches. Crumple them up nice and tight, it's ok if they tear slightly. Unfold them and layer onto each other. Pierce with a hole and insert the brad. Fluff them up a little!

Valentine Gumball Machines

Valentine's Day treats for the teacher at Nicholas' school. I made 40 of these for Teacher Appreciation and delivered them yesterday. Boy did they love 'em! It's so fun to be the one doing all the cute things for them!!

I did basically the same thing as I did for the Halloween Treat Cups using a trap door to open them so you don't have to tear it apart to get the candy.

Cardstock: Real Red, Whisper White, Basic Black
Stamp Set: Something Sweet
Accessories: Treat Cups, 1-3/4" Circle Punch, Round Tab Punch,Silver Brads, Paper Piercing Tool, White Organza Ribbon, Mini Glue Dots, Skittles Candy
Real Red cardstock cut 8-1/2" x 3"
Whisper White cardstock cut 2-1/2" x 3-3/4"
Basic Black cardstock cut 2-5/8" x 3-7/8"
Slider:
Basic Black cardstock cut 2" x 2-1/2"
Basic Black Round Tab Punch. Punch with 1/4" hole and insert ribbon

1. Stamp the gumball machine in Real Red ink.
2. Layer it on the Basic Black cardstock.
3. Punch the circle with the 1-3/4" Circle Punch through both layers of cardstock. Trace the opening onto the Real Red cardstock for placement and punch a hole in the front of the card.
4. Insert Treat Cup. DO NOT PEEL THE ADHESIVE BACKING.
5. Apply Mini Glue Dots to the Treat cup between the cup and the cardstock (on the front rim of the cup) to secure it to the paper.
6. Layer onto the Real Red card with Mini Glue Dots in the top corners bottom corners and below the Treat Cup. Be sure you have them on the very top outside corner so you have room to slide the trap door in.
7. Slide the trap door between the red and black cardstock layers.
8. Fill with candy.

February Stamp Club

Here are the Stamp Club projects for this Thursday and Friday's clubs.
Stamp Clubs will be making the clip with the bird punch, however, I had an extra flower left over so I made it into a clip.

Pretty cute, huh? I used 6 layers of DSP and the Scallop Circle Punch, followed the directions on Carrie Stamps and used the 5 Flower Punch for the leaves. I attach my DSP to the clothespin with SNAIL adhesive.

I want to thank you all for sharing information on the recent spammer fiasco. It seems there is no rhyme or reason to where he gathered the e-mail address. I've heard from people with Blogger profiles, without Blogger profiles, people who have left comments on my blog and people who have not. He found a lot of you that is for sure and referenced my blog as to where he found you. Again, I am so sorry!!
I appreciate your support and encouragement in continuing on but I gotta tell you, I came close to calling it quits! Stamp On peeps! This won't stop us, right??????????

I need your help!

Many of you have received an e-mail from someone calling themselves "Sandra Don". This person references my blog and asks you to correspond to them. As far as I can tell, this is a SPAM e-mail from a location in Senegal, Africa. Please do not reply to them or other wise encourage this behavior.
I think this person is culling the e-mail information from the blogger profile of people who have left comments on my blog. If you have received this SPAM e-mail and have never commented or do not have your e-mail in the blogger profile, please let me know as this would mean that my feedblitz list might have been hacked. I need to know the source of this nonsense before it can be effectively stopped. If you have seen this problem before and know how to stop it, please let me know.
I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and appreciate your understanding and support.
Update: This seems to be happening on other blogs as well. My Pink Stamper posted the following-
"If anyone receives and e-mail from sandradon25@yahoo.com, please do not open it. They are someone phishing for love on my website. So far 3 people have e-mailed me this morning. It is obviously a professional. Just always be careful when you leave personal information on anyone's blog or websites. Get a separate e-mail just for posting. You can get one for free from Yahoo, Google, Hot Mail, etc. Takes a few seconds and then you have a secure way for people to get a hold of you online."

"*I just want to add that this is not only happening with my website but other blogs as well. There are people who watch the blogs and websites that get a lot of hits. Just take the extra steps to keep yourself safe and never let your children comment on a blog or website. "

I Love Mail!

Don't you love it when you get surprise mail? I DO!!!
Look at this slider box from BFF. She was so inspired by Shelli's style at Leadership that she decided to try it...and I get it!!

It's a slider box of stationary with Post It notes, pencils and paperclips. All she did was decorate the cover! Oh ya, and add a chocolate gift too. You should never give a gift without including chocolate!!
Thanks Kim! You're the bestest BFF eva!!

Mini Milk Carton Creations

Since offering the Mini Milk Carton Container kit and tutorial, I've had several
e-mails asking if the Mini Milk Carton die cut is worth buying and what else can you do with it. Of course it is worth buying!! Ü
Here are a few more ideas.

Cut a piece of cardstock 2" x 4", fold it in half and use it for a roof over your milk carton and it becomes a birdhouse. Cut a door in it and you have an outhouse...don't know where that came from, but you could!
Valentine's candy carton with Hershey's Kisses.

Easter candy carton with M&M's

See, it is cute and yes, you DO need the die-cut! It makes the cutest little gifts and as a die cut there is no measuring, just cut, fold, add adhesive and fill!

Cute Clothes Pins

Aren't these cute? I saw these flowers on Juli Buhler's blog and I thought they would be darling on clothespins.

You can clip them to anything!

Stamp on several layers of tissue paper. Punch with the 5 Petal punch, layer and crumple a bit. I used Mini glue Dots to attach them to DSP covered clothespins.

Saturday was opening day of the Winter Carnival in McCall, Idaho. There were a lot of people there for the Mardi Gras parade and I've never seen so many dogs with snow boots on! It was a lot of fun! They were throwing Mardi Gras beads and candy and all kinds promotional items from their floats. It was so cold that the candy was frozen!
There were snow sculptures everywhere. Here the boys and George are standing by the Big Comfy Couch. It was a little cold and wet for sitting! :)
Doing a bit of sledding on lake McCall. Glad nobody fell through the ice!
