Copic Coloring With Sweet Sentiment

Many of you followed along as I participated in the 30 day Copic Marker Coloring Challenge on Instagram.  I realized quickly there really is an art to learning how to use Copic markers and I needed to take some classes.
I decided to take from Sweet Sentiment here locally even though it is an online class.  Jammie who owns and teaches is a previous stamping student of mine.  We have had a ball reconnecting!

Each month there is a product kit and a video where she goes in depth and shows you everything you need to know to be successful.  She has the most interesting approach to teaching and for me it seems to make sense.  She also has a Facebook group where she provides additional info throughout the month.

Every month, the stamp set is sponsored by a stamp company - for April it is the The Unity Company.  You will get the full red rubber 5 piece stamp set, a pack of gorgeous Prima flowers and a glue pen in the April Kit as well as a video on how to color this coffee cup with amazing flowers!  She gives direction for coloring with black lines and no lines both in this video. The video with kit is $35.

Jammie colored these images, I put them together and made cards out of them.

These are mine, the first one is pretty rough but the next two got a little better.  Not quite card ready but I'm getting there.

Here is my first month of class.  I have a lot of work to do on my blending - this one will not make it into a card either! *Ü*
Learning to color the hair was sure fun!

Last month the stamp set was sponsored by Kindred Stamps and this was our kit.  I love that we get product with the video.  The kits are sold out but the video is still available as well as previous class videos.  If you are interested, you can check them out HERE.

I've really enjoyed learning what to do with the Copic Markers!

Dove Chocolate Easter Treats

I've been working on Easter treats this week, getting boxes together for the college kids.  It's weird having the kids gone for Easter and both having different spring breaks, neither of which are near Easter!

These are Dove Silky Smooth Cream Eggs, coconut flavor, I think...the packaging is long gone. *Ü*
I bought them for the color of the packaging, not the flavor.  After all, it MUST match the cardstock, right?

I added a pom pom to the end of each egg with a glue dot as a little tail to dress them up a little.
The cardstock is Cool Pool, cut 5" x 2" and scored 1/4" on each side.
Ribbon is also Cool Pool and the twine in Licorice Twist.
The bags are Wilton Pretzel Rod Bags.

The adorable bunny stamp is by Rubber Hedgehog and can be found HERE.

Crafty Turnabout Bundle

Today I have several cards to share with you using the Crafty Turnabout Bundle from Concord & 9th.  Have you tried the Turnabout stamps yet?  They are so fun and easy to use.

Gotta admit, I was pretty intimidated at first, but not anymore!  I've inserted a video below showing you all about them.

This background is stamped in gray, just one single color for all 4 stamping rotations.

The scissors, stamp and paintbrushes are Silver Mirror Paper, Black Licorice and Oatmeal Cookie cardstocks.

This card is stamped in bright colors on Oatmeal Cookie cardstock.

I  just copied the samples from their website to get comfortable with it.

The background for this one is in pinks and grays, very light.  It's busy, so I didn't want it to overpower the cute dies.

The patterned paper on these is from The Stamp Market.

Aren't they just the cutest little dies!  So perfect for us crafty people.

The background on this one is in light pinks and Oatmeal Cookie.  Below is the actual background hot off the stamp!

I hope you give the Crafty Turnabout Bundle a try. They have several Turnabout stamps and are exclusive to Concord & 9th, you can check them out HERE

Hippity Hoppin' and a New Sale!

This cute little Spring and Easter set is called Hippity Hoppin'. I combined it with the Banner Dies from The Stamp Market and one  piece from Little Love Tag Dies from Concord & 9th.

I created the tabs from Little Love Tag Die and attached them to the Banner.  I stamped on the background and the foreground in Oatmeal Cookie before adding the bunnies.  The bunnies are lightly colored with Copic markers.

Concord & 9th has a really fun sale starting today at 9 am MST called Monogram Madness.

If you place an order during the sale, you will be entered into a drawing to win the entire April new product release! That's cool!!
