Basic Technique Class

Tonight (Wednesday) is my Basic Stamping Techniques class for Boise Community Education.

I chose three basic techniques to teach.

Totally and completely inspired by Yvette Ashe from our last Control Freaks swap, this card has heat embossing, ink inside an embossing folder and using markers to ink the stamp.

Emboss resist

Masking
It doesn't get more basic than that, right?

Team Tuesday

I'm back with another Team Tuesday feature...

Today I'd like to introduce you to Patricia Emerick of Fayetteville, AR.  Patricia has been a demonstrator for about 15 months and she made this card for her upline Ruthie Graen.  It's stamped on the card then stamped again and cut out so the wing looks like it is floating on top.

Very pretty Patricia, thanks for sharing!!

If you would like to see these and many more displays up close and personal, plan on attending convention this summer in July.  The starter kit is a great deal right now - choose $158.50 in products for just $99 and it ships free.

And of course a little funny business went on at Leadership...what is it with my team and bathroom humor?

Kim and I returned to our room to find the place tossed - I mean like Rock Star tossed!  It was pretty impressive!!
And all this time I though conjoining rooms has been so much fun...

All I have to say is Kari Karlin and Carrie Rhoades, you better watch your backs ladies, you know what they say about pay back!!!

Channel 7 Spotlight on Community Education

The day before I left for Leadership in Orlando, I was asked to join Carla Senteno with Boise Community Education for a spotlight on Community Ed on live TV...ya, LIVE!

Waiting in the lobby to be called back.  They still had their Christmas tree up and it was all decorated in NBC peacock theme - so cool!  See Katie Couric over there in the corner? *Ü*

Leadership in Orlando, Florida

What a fantastic week I had in Orlando for Stampin' Up!'s Leadership Conference.  So many, many great things to share and exciting announcements.  This is going to be a fabulous year for sure!! In deciding what to share, I have decided to put off the announcements for a couple days while some of the kinks get worked out and talk about a very special experience.

I was asked to present in the Social Media class on blogging.  It's one thing to blog - but to talk about it to your peers is another thing.   SCARY!  After months of preparation it was kind of surreal to be actually doing it last week.

Would you like a little behind the scenes look?

Literally!

It's super dark and very professional looking behind the stage.  Those awesome people were busy making preparations and getting ready.  I'm getting my microphone on for the rehearsal. They clip it on the back of your pants, slide it up your shirt and hang it over your ear just in case you really want to know. *Ü*

Getting instructions on where to stand, where to look, how to control the slides and script, and oh, by the way, don't be nervous.  Right!!
Thank goodness for rehearsals!

Taking a bow - I made it through rehearsal!

Andrea Withers the Demonstrator Training Coordinator we worked with for the Social Media Class.  What a doll - we had SO much fun!

I will hopefully have a photo of the live presentations soon to show you.

The Social Media presenters ...
Diane Dimich - Face Book
Catherine Pooler - You Tube
Becky Roberts - Blogging
Andrea Withers - the boss of it all!

What an amazing experience that was.  Thank you Stampin' Up!, that was quite an honor to be asked and trusted to present to your leaders.
