Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas Blogging Friends!

It has been a full year of stamping with companies I love and sharing it all with you.  I've loved trying new things and finding my style in each product. Thank you to the companies that have allowed me to be affiliates for them - I have loved it!

Thank you to all of you for joining me, for subscribing to my blog or just popping in to see what I've made.  Thank you also to those of you who follow me on Instagram.

It has been a fun and busy year in our household.  The boys are men now!
Benjamin is 23 and was fortunate enough to be able to stay at UC Berkeley in Berkeley, CA after graduation as he was accepted to the Ph.D program in the fall. He is currently a Ph.D student researcher in linguistics, his first of 6 years.  He will be a Spanish teacher next year and a professor by the end!  He flew to TX and presented his thesis to a Ph.D. program there to rave reviews and fortunately enjoys researching, writing and presenting….because he has a lot of it in his future.  He is working as a supervisor/barista at a coffee shop and lives without roommates (yay!) in his own apartment.  He is absolutely loving the program and all it entails.

Nicholas is 20 now and at University of Utah studying chemistry.  He has one year left after this.  We think he has settled on a minor of Nuclear Engineering.  He moved off campus and into his first apartment this summer.  He also got a kitty this summer and named her Cheeto.  She is 2 years old and super outgoing, adventurous and noisy.  She moved in, unpacked and became the boss of all in no time.  His intention was to take her to school with him, but it didn’t work out that way as he didn’t want to separate her from Daphne, our Golden Retriever.  They are best friends.  Nicholas is only a 5 hour drive away, so we get to see him pretty often.

We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!  I'm going to be taking a blogging break to enjoy the boys and George while he's off work and I will see you back here on the 1st of January.

Magnolia Wreath Bundle

The  Magnolia Wreath Bundle is still one of my very favorites. I had some parts left over from the half million cards I made last year so I put together another framed piece as an ornament.

I used the Barnwood Background stamp in light gray for the background.  I stamped and die cut all the little pieces and laid them out on the wreath before gluing them down. The wreath is on a Foam Square so it pops up a little bit from the background.

A Gnome Winter

So sorry guys...I scheduled this post before the new Picket Fence store went live, so the links were not working.  Everything is working now.

Here's a cutie patootie gnome card made with A Gnome Winter from Picket Fence Studios.  I used this set for most of my Christmas cards this year.

I colored him with Copic markers and layered him on a snowflake.  I laid all the snowflakes out on a cardboard box and sprayed them with glitter - that's the way to go!

I used the Snowflake Die from The Stamp Market in the background.

Take A Bough Trees

I made more trees this year with the Take A Bough Bundle.
I had a few friends ask if I would make them one and I said 'next year'...dang it if they didn't remind me of my promise to make them a tree.

I love this little die, I have literally worn him out I've cut so many!

It is really pretty in other shades of green and even the off white color.  You just can't go wrong!  I even have a pink one fore my Easter decor!

Christmas Decor 2019

Oh how I love Christmas... the decorating, cooking, baking, crafting, the company, the kids are home...all of it!  Sitting with a hot cup of coffee super early in the morning with just the Christmas tree lights is my absolute favorite thing.  Those few short weeks seem so magical.

Today I am going to give you a look at a few of our Christmas decorations.  Some of my favorite things are hanging in the tree.  I put stuff in the tree that isn't even an ornament!

I've had these elf feet since the kids were little and they still climb in the tree every year.

In the hallway, I have on this table with an antique scale.  I put a tree in the bowl and set my tiered shelf next to it. The Santa is a ceramic Greek Santa my mom painted for us years ago.  See the creeper in the right side of the photo? *Ü*

Under the table is this little cart that I bought at the Pottery Barn a few years ago.  I change it up for every holiday.

In the living room I have a tray that I put the lamp in that sits next to a chair.  I added a tree and some snowman that my BFF, Kim sent last year.  I love these little guys!

Here I added a Merry & Bright typewriter print to my antique typewriter that sits out year round.  The stuffed trees are from Details 2 Enjoy (made by Lalu_Furniture) and I have lots of big jingle bells out this year.

On the mantle, I have more big jingle bells.  These are from Craft Warehouse.

The boys stockings are hung on the fireplace and this year I bought these beautiful script name tags from an Etsy store called 2Daughtersheirlooms.  They are beautiful...bigger than I thought, but my boys have long names!

In the kitchen, my little red truck holds a gnome and trees.  It sits on a wood lazy Susan from Home Goods.

Above our sliding glass doors, I have these little chairs I got years ago at The Pottery Barn.  I bought little gnomes for them from Real Deals in Boise.

I also have this ladder of baskets from Real Deals that hold old cutting boards and other stuff.  I took out the other stuff and added a few Christmas decorations to them as well.
I hope you enjoyed this years' tour of Christmas decorations!
