Idaho Custom Creations June Tiered Tray Kit & Storage Ideas

It's time for a new tiered tray set up with the Idaho Custom Creations kit of the month. This month it is all about red white and blue. Perfect for 4th of July celebration and even Memorial Day weekend...although that's this weekend.
You have until the 15th of June to subscribe and get this kit.

My tier tray is from Felt Creative Home Goods and can be found HERE.

You know what is fun about these kits?  I have never owned anything 4th of July, or red white and blue.  I've never decorated for those holidays and I have thoroughly enjoyed the few days this has been up so far.  They are colors I don't use in my home and I have loved seeing it every time I walk by!

BEFORE
This is how the kit comes and it is complete with everything you need to finish it right down to the red, white and blue twine to tie the banner on!

AFTER
The foam glitter stars are the freebie this month and the jar with stars and flags is mine.

Here is a view of all sides of my tiered tray set up and below is a quick (very quick) video of how I store my tiered tray items.  I will include the links to the products I use below the video.

This adorable little red, white and blue hat is hand knitted by VinVan Knits
The hat is on a Marshmallow Mug and you can get a set of them HERE

Cupcake is from Mae at My Faux Sweets on Etsy and you can see her items HERE.

How I Store My Tiered Tray Items

I really like these storage drawers. The size is perfect for stacking on a shelf, they are clear so you can see everything inside, they open from the front, and you can mix and match all the sizes to suit your needs.

7.1" x 10.7" x 6.5"
These boxes are big, the lid is attached, they are clear so you can see what's in them at a glance and I LOVE these.

Count It All Joy!

I was on the Ellen Hutson site ordering my new Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide ink when I saw this brand new set from Gina K called Count It All Joy.
It was screaming my name, so it landed in my shopping cart.
Tell me that never happens to you! *Ü*

For this card, I used strips of cardstock for the background, lightly colored the flower and used green cardstock for the leaves.  I was so excited to play with this set, that I didn't notice it has a woodgrain stamp for the breadboard...yes, sometimes I worry about myself too! I used some Barnwood Background pieces I already had stamped out.  I discovered that the white embossing powder doesn't work very well with this color cardstock, but you can still see it.
I punched a hole in the handle and added a piece of jute.

I kept this one light and pastel using a lighter color of cardstock for the board.  I lightly colored the flower and leaves with Copic markers and added a piece of just to the handle.

I made a couple extra boards, so I added both of them to his card.  The set has all these other pieces in it, heart, smaller flowers and words, so I put them all on this card.

So there you have it! Three different layouts for this stamp set, what you you think?  Would you buy this set?
My friend Sara said this is 'definitely a Becky set.' LOL  I do love my bread boards!

New Florals and Baskets From The Greetery

I received my order from The Greetery last week and immediately broke into it and started playing.  I love these new 'wire' baskets and this beautiful bouquet of flowers!!

I cut the baskets from black cardstock and the lining in white with the fold over part, black and white.
I lightly bent them into a rounded shape with my bone folder and placed a foam square right in the middle to keep the shape.

I stamped out a few flowers and stems and made a bouquet.  The smaller basket just has some of the floral sprays.

For this one, I cut the basket in silver glitter paper - oooooh, it is SO shiny!!  The lining is in a blush color cardstock  and I used some scrap patterned paper that matched perfectly for the fold over.

I made the bouquet here in one piece, using the die to cut it out, and then added a few extra flowers for a bit of dimension.

There are three sizes of baskets in the set and I will be using these over and over again, they are so fun!  Did you notice the little handles on the basket?  Betsy thinks of all the details!

Mason Jar Shaped Card

Here is another shaped card, this time using the Mason Jar dies from Honey Bee Stamps.  It's hard to photograph that metallic silver jar lid, but it is bright and shiny in person!
This card perfectly fits in an  A2 envelope.

I used the label that comes in the set with the Playful Pastels Paper Pad in a pretty purple shade.  I colored the Lovely Layers Hydrangea  dies in blues and purples with Pan Pastels. and placed them around the label.  The words are the new adorable Bitty Buzzwords Stamps and Dies .  I love the size of these new words!

Friends Are Flowers

This new set from Trinity Stamps is a super fun one to color!
I love the flowers in this bouquet, great variety for coloring, and of course the gnome.  Although I don't like all gnomes...  I'm kind of picky.

He is colored with Copic markers. I die cut the sentiment and placed him on a panel that was embossed with a brick embossing folder.

Same things with this gnome,  he's colored with Copic markers.  This one is placed on a background of light gray and white stripes.

NEW Liberty Sunday Drive Characters

The Sunday Drive Car has new characters just in time for the 4th of July!

I love all the options they make for this cute car.  I still love the truck, but this one is just as fun.

Look how cute Uncle Sam and Lady Liberty are driving off into nowhere.
There are new tailgate sayings with this set, Happy 4th, Stripes and Thank U.

If you don't have the car, here is the link for Sunday Drive.

This one has a little bit of an ink blending sky.  The shapes for the road and grass are from last months Large Die of the Month
 called Universal Curved Border Set.
