Graduation Favors

Crazy busy week as I prepare graduation favors for a party on Saturday and teacher gifts for next week. My Mother in Law is here this week cooking up a storm in the kitchen and I feel all off schedule...grrrrr! This is one of those times I wish I had made a few things ahead of time...it's not like I didn't know the end of the school year was coming!! But at least my freezer will be full of yummy Greek food from YiaYia ☺

Hershey Nugget graduation candies. I used the 1 3/8" Square Punch, Silver Brads and got the instructions for the tassle on You Tube.

OK...this is a FAB-O idea!!!!!!!!!! I got this from Monica at Add A Litle Dazzle.
Super easy and such a WOW!! You'll need the Pillow Box die cut and the Big Shot and a 5x7 photograph. It's so easy and comes out perfect. I manipulated my photo to add the graduation information on the back side and had them printed. The only bad thing is you need a 5x7 as a 4x6 is too small, and it's a little more expensive. I can't wait to take them to the party!!

Pun Fun Cups

I seem to be in a mood to stamp with cups...ever do things like that? It all started when I saw this very simple card here made with one single cup. I wish I had that stamp but it isn't Stampin' Up! so I can't have it ☺ I think I did OK with what I have!

All 4 together. I'll package them up and use them for one of the 9 teacher gifts I still have to make next week. Why do anything ahead of time when you can procrastinate? I do my best work at the 11th hour!

The Beatles Concert
Benjamin channeling his inner John Lennon for the Heritage Middle School band concert last night. Everyone was dressed like the Beatles from tie-die hippie to the skinny black pants and ties.
During the7th and 8th grade band transitions, Mr. Davis asked Benjamin, Hailey and Samantha to perform their First Place Winning Flute Trio. It was every bit as impressive this time as it was at Festival!!

And who else would lead a Beetles Concert but Sgt. Pepper himself, the amazingly talented Mr. Davis!

I've received a few more blogging awards!

These two are from Sue at Sue's Stampin' Designs...thank you Sue!

This one is from Dawn at Dawn's Craft Place

Funky Wedding Colors

I'm not sure what rolls through some brides heads....seriously, Apricot Appeal, Pale Plum, Kiwi Kiss and Chocolate Chip ????????? It definitely does not translate well on paper! I've got a few more things to try before I decide to take it on.
It's been busy around here! I finished up my big assignment that I can't share until August. My sister Kerry and her son have been here this week for the state track meet. Man, can that kid ever jump hurdles! Looks painful ;o) Baseball season is still in full swing with my Nicholas and end of the year activities and field trips are taking up my stamping time! Plus the yard project, oh my!

Mother's Day was grand with all my guys! They go out of their way to make it a special day. It's always fun and I really appreciate them! I love it when George takes them shopping and they pick out what they think I will love...and I do!

This is one of the things that has been cutting into my stamping time!!! We are working on our yard. When we moved in 1-1/2 years ago they had planted every ugly plant and sticker bush in the world! We've pulled it all out (my Band-Aid bill will go down!) and are replanting more family friendly things! Why is that every ball lands in a bush or a plant???

First off we put in 4 three year old trees along one side of the back yard. We were going to get smaller ones but these guys needed to be planted and were calling our name...take me home....today.... hear 'em? Until we win the lottery and put the pool in, the rest will wait a bit. Now we are on to the front yard. It's going to be pretty. More pictures when it's done!

Hanging Around!

While I was playing with the Stationery Set for Stamp Club a week ago, I had several size pockets made trying to decide what to use. This was one of the left over pockets so I turned it into a door knob hanger!
I know these door hangers are all over SCS and other blogs, but this is how I made mine.

The hanger is 8-1/2" x 4-1/4". Cut a circle in it with the new Circle Scissor.

Pocket size is 6" x 4". Score two short sides and one long side of the pocket at 1/2" and 1". Scallop Edge the top (long side without the scoring) for a decorative trim.

Embellish as desired!

I've been gotting lots and lots of photos from friends who have completed my tutorials. I'm so glad you are enjoying them and I LOVE to see the photos! I'm trying to post as many as I can so everyone can see, but unfortunately I have to post other things too.

Today's Tote-ally Awesome tote was made by Kim Jawnyj using the Bugs & Kisses stamp set.

Thank you Sherri from Roses in My Heart for the Lemonade Stand blogging award!
