Taking A Break....

My Dear Stampin' Friends,

I'm taking a little blogging break to be with my family. My daddy passed away after a very short but valiant fight with lung cancer.  Interesting how things go, he said he would wait for me to return from Founder's Circle and he did!!

Witches Brew File Folder Gifts

Of course I had to make a few gifts for friends at Founder's Circle this week.  I love the new file folder style of cards made with the new Envelope Punch Board.

Another demonstrator, Patty Bennett was the one who came up with this idea using the Envelope Punch Board. Boy dies that ever make these quick and easy to make!

Then another demonstrator, Deb Valder showed this idea using the 4oz to-go coffee cups on her blog.  I'm in LOVE with these tiny little babies!!!  You will see lots more ideas with these little cups in the coming months.

Inside the little cups are gummy candy corn from Williams & Sonoma.

Aren't these cute?  Loving the file folders and the cups!  The cards are regular size, 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" and the cups are 2-3/4" tall with the lid on.

And I'm Off to Founder's Circle!

I came really, really close to not going, but I AM going and I am going to have a great time! 

 

My daddy was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer the end of April and after completing chemo, feeling better, feeling worse, a couple of hospitalizations later he was placed on hospice in August.  I've spent a great deal of the summer driving back and forth the 3-1/2 hour drive (each way) a couple of times a week to help out my mom.  This week he is pretty stable, no worse and no better, so I've decided to take the trip to St. George for Founder's Circle, a retreat I earned with Stampin' Up! for being in the top 100 demonstrators. This is the third year I've earned this honor.  Yay!

I'm excited and looking forward to seeing so many of my Stampin' Friends again!

 

 

This is the lovely travel planner they send. All the goodies you need from the agenda to the suitcase tags...oh and the flight itinerary too. *Ü* 

 

One of the evenings we have a big pajama party and a swap.  We had to make 120 swaps this year.  I had mine all done and packed just in case I had to overnight them if I didn't go. 

I should always do that for stampin' events...it's really much nicer than my usual night before planning!
