Gnome Tree and Holly Jolly Gnome Cards

I've got a couple of Christmas cards today using Spellbinders products and some of them are on sale!

The Gnome Tree is a really fun die.  It comes apart in pieces so it makes switching up the colors really easy.  The background is called Joyful Words and is embossed in white embossing powder.  I sponged over it with Distress Oxide Ink and then whipped the letters clean with a Kleenex.

This little guy has parts included that make him swing from the bow.  Interactive cards are such a fun surprise when you receive them!  He is called Holly Jolly Gnome Dies and the background is the Argyle Socks Embossing Folder.  I lightly inked the inside of the embossing folder so when I ran it through it would leave a little ink in the recessed areas of the pattern.

Woven Vintage Basket Arrangement

Fewer things make me happy in the stamping world that a new basket, vase or vessel to put beautiful flowers and arrangements in.  

The  Vintage Basket Die from the Make It Merry Release makes me ridiculously happy!

This time I cut 1/4" strips of cardstock and wove them over the basket for additional texture.  I love the way it turned out!

The background is made using the Kaleidoscope Embossing Folder.  The greeneries and berries are from Lovely Layers: Winter Greenery and the poinsettias are from the Lovely Layers: Poinsettia.  The sentiment and the cute little tag are from Potted Poinsettia Stamps and Dies .

Idaho Custom Creations December Kit and New Signs

The Idaho Custom Creations December Tiered Tray Kit is WINTER!  

I think this might be my favorite so far.  It has such pretty little pieces that are wintery and different than we've had before.

This month I am using my risers instead of one of my tiered trays.  I really like these, they're beautiful and require a lot less fluff and filler.  I feel like I can see the pieces better.

The risers are from Felt Creative Home Goods (as are my trays) and can be found HERE.

As a reminder, the kit comes unfinished and with everything you need to complete it, including paint.  It is a monthly subscription through Idaho Custom Creations.  Michelle owns the company, I just paint for her and enjoy all her products!

She offers the subscription kit as well as regular products for sale in her shop, and she takes custom orders. 

The kit comes with these colors of paint, but I used my own.

I painted the blue pieces with Colonial Blue and then went back over them with a watered down wash of Warm White.

The browns on these pieces are watered down Burnt Umber paint rather than using a stain.
