Matchbook Halloween Cards

I made these a couple years ago so it's time to pull it out again.  Super fun and quick to make.

 

Cardstock:  Summer Starfruit, Pumpkin Pie and Very Vanilla. Witch's Brew Designer Series Paper

Stamp Set:  Halloween Hello

Accessories:  1" Circle Punch, 1-1/4" Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Scallop Border Punch, 1/8" Grosgrain Ribbon, Summer Starfruit Ribbon, Corner Rounder

 

 

Little 3 x 3 pocket cards. Pockets are 3 x 6 folded in half then score at 1" and fold over for the flap.  Cards are 2-3/4 x 2-3/4.

Matchbook 3x3 Card Holder

 

1.  Cut cardstock 3-1/2” x 8-1/4”.  Score length at 3-1/4”, 3-1/2” and 7-1/4”.

 

2.  Use the Scallop Edge Punch along the end that is to be folded up.

 

3.  Fold that small piece up and staple in the center.  Staple near the bottom edge so you don’t interfere with the placement of the cards inside.

4.  Cover the stapled area with ribbon.

5.  Cards are 3 x 6 folded in half.

Wildflower Meadow Butterflies

I had several pieces of cardstock embossed with the Wildflower Meadow Embossing Folder laying around, so a while ago I decided to make them into butterfly magnets.

A Little Chalk Talk & Some Adorable Backpacks

Channeling my inner Lorri Heiling here with a copy of her darling Chalk Talk Framelit Candy Pouches.  We made these last week at my local downline meeting.

Chalk Talk Candy Holder

Cut Witches Brew DSP to 2-1/2” x 5-1/2”.  Score at 3-1/2”

Cut Pumpkin Pie Cardstock to 2-3/8” x 3-5/8”

6” Basic Black Chevron ribbon

5” White Baker’s Twine

9” 1/8” Pumpkin Pie Grosgrain

1.      Fold DSP on the score line and place just inside the cutting line of the Chalk Talk Framelit.

2.      Use the Scallop Border Punch on the pocket side.

3.      Adhere the top and bottom of the DSP to the cardstock leaving room for the ribbon to slide underneath.

4.      Place candy in the pocket and tie ribbon attaching the little tag.

5.      Slide a Mini Glue Dot behind the ribbon against the cardstock if needed.

6.      Embellish with a jewel on the exclamation point.

7.      Trim the corners of the cardstock to match the Chalk Talk Framelit.

8.      Punch 1/4” hole in top of candy holder.

9.      Slide ribbon through the hole and pull both sides to the top.  Use the Baker’s Twine to tie the ribbons closed.  Trim ends.

Merry 25th

I've been all over the holidays this week.  Halloween, Fall and now Christmas.  I'm really enjoying playing with the new Expressions Thinlits Dies!  Put a piece of waxed paper between the die and the cardstock and the words pop right out.
