Memo Board Card

Sometimes things don't turn out as they are this card for instance. It was going to me a memo board thing for inside a frame. It was too small for the frame I was making it for because... why should I measure when I was SURE I knew what size to make it?? So I made it into a card... and it's really too big for a card. But it's a card now and it's going to stay a card! Ü
Cardstock: Real Red, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink
Stamp Set: Whimsical Words
Accessories: Heart to Heart & Full Heart Punches, Trio Flower Punch, Stampin' Write Markers Soft Suede & Real Red, Mini Library Clip, Pretty in Pink Taffeta Ribbon, Sending Love DSP

This week is full of fun!

I will be launching the Mini Milk Carton Container kit and tutorial. The tutorial will be available always, but I am going to cut 100 kits and when they are gone they are gone.

On Friday the 29th is the Catty Cruise featuring Mini Occasions & Sale-A-Bration fun. Be sure to stop by Friday to pick up the link and sail to the other blogs to see what is new.

Make A Difference For Haiti

From now until February 28, 2010, for every I {Heart} Hearts stamp set you buy, Stampin' Up! will donate $2 to the American Red Cross’ Haiti Relief and Development Fund.

The Red Cross is already well-established in Haiti, and this money will be used to provide immediate relief and long-term support through supplies, technical assistance and other support to help those in need.

I {Heart} Hearts - clear-mount, Item #118571, $18.95

I {Heart} Hearts - wood-mount, Item # 117010, $26.95
Please help us raise money for the people of Haiti by ordering your stamp set HERE.

Thank you!

Here is a photo from the big screen at Leadership with Shelli showing her I {Heart} Hearts card on one of the new Sending Love Notes 'Hugs' from the Occasions Mini Catalog.

A package of 20 Hugs is $4.95 (118778) and they have darling Glassine envelopes to fit them, 20 for $5.95 (117227).

Both of these photos were taken at the same time but the colors are quite different. I think I am finally wearing out my camera. Sometimes when I take 2 pictures in a row, the lighting will turn out like this. it's becoming more and more aggravating...might be time to go camera shopping!!

This is my MOST FAVORITE style of card ever! I try not to use it very often, but I would make all my cards in this style if it wouldn't get boring!

Cardstock: Pretty In Pink, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip
Stamp Set: Thank You Kindly, Flower Fancy
Accessories: Sending Love DSP, 1-1/4", 1-3/8", 1/4" Circle Punches, Scallop Circle Punch, Trio Flower Punch, Pretty In Pink Grosgrain Ribbon

Mini Milk Carton Container

The mini..... and mine!
Stampin' Up! has a new die-cut in the Occasions Mini catalog and it happens to be a milk carton! I've been making these for over a year and as you know I have a tutorial for sale on my Milk Carton Container.
I've received a lot of e-mail asking for size comparison and my thoughts on the new product. for the size, mine is 4-3/4" x 4-1/4" x 6" and the mini is 3-1/4" x 3-1/4" x 4-3/4".
As for my thoughts...well, I think I will make these into kits and sell them! I have been thinking of offering a kit at some point and I think the time is now! What do you think??
This photo is for comparison in size only and WILL NOT be the one I offer as a kit.
You can look for more details and photos on the new Mini Milk Carton Kit to come in the next few days. Ü

Leadership Swap

I love swapping with other demonstrators! Getting new ideas, a fresh take on an old product or just plain enjoying the thought it took someone to make a swap! It's all FUN! This year I was invited to a private swap with just 6 demonstrators. It was a themed swap, Take Three Swap, I think. Anyway, three projects using the same ingredients.
I'm going to share my swap with you here but I AM NOT going to do a tutorial on it and I AM NOT going to give dimensions (but thanks for asking Ü)...I already gave them away and was in too much of a hurry to get them done to measure each step. I'm sure you've had that happen also!

My Trio used the new Sending Love Valentine's Specialty DSP, Sweet Pea Stitched Felt and the New Extra Large Two Step Bird punch. Man, do I love this punch!!
The purse cards are made using the Oval Scallop die-cut. Fold your cardstock in half and lay it on the die cut leaving the fold on the inside edge of the die-cut so it doesn't get cut. Run one in DSP and one in Chocolate Chip. Save the center of the Chocolate Chip one for another use and use the frame for this project as a handle. Cut it in half and insert it inside the card as a handle.

It is not held closed by anything, just a regular card.
Yep, more M&M bags. I have gotten rid of all the ones I plan to get rid of. Thank you for all your e-mails asking to take them off my hands. I'm down to my last 50 or so and probably won't be ordering anymore. You can order them here if you are interested. Maybe go in with a couple friends and share.

The little tag book is based around the size of our small flat cello bags. Kind of a take on one of Andrea Walford's Christmas projects.
I embossed Pretty in Pink cardstock with the new Polka Dot Embossing folder and then punched the birdie ...oh that sounded bad! I closed it with a Basic Gray adhesive magnet from my local scrapbook store.
Inside is just the 2 open ended bags. Slide the tags right in. Ornament punch with the bottom cut straight to make a vase. Sweet Pea Stitched Felt and Pretty in Pink Grosgrain Ribbon.

I love this little purse. It is a piece of DSP folded in half, cut with the Wide Oval Punch except keep the bottom clear, so it does not get cut. The handle is the Oval Punch inside the Scallop Oval Punch and the flap is the Small Oval Punch with one of the Trip Flower Punches and a brad. It opens and says 'I love you' inside. So cute!
