FSJ Happy Place Collection

FSJ Happy Place is a new summertime collection that features all the fun of swimming pools, amusement parks and camping.
You can check out the whole collection HERE, but today I have two sets to show you - Make a Splash with the Pool With a View Dies  and Enjoy the Ride.

I didn't exactly set out to make them coordinating in color but I guess this is a summer look - blue skies and blue pools!

This card is made with the Make a Splash stamp set and the Pool With a View Dies.  There are so many fun option with this set, you have to check it out!
I chose the lady floating around the pool reading a book with not a care in the world.  The little umbrella is off to the side and did you see the tiny ladder for climbing out of the pool?  I made the sentiment into a towel with fringe for a little added something something.  The background, or concrete, is embossed with the Beach Towel embossing folder.

My second card is made with the Enjoy the Ride stamp set.
I ink blended the background with Scattered Straw, Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feathers.  There is a little smear of Hickory Smoke at the bottom. Then I stamped the rollercoaster, sentiments and the hot dog cart in black ink.  The tent is stamped separately, colored with Copic markers  and popped up on foam squares.

Speaks of summertime, don't you think?  I'd like to be at either of these places but this summer, we're keeping safe and staying inside.  At least the air conditioning is working!

These sets also come in a project kit that has materials to create 4 cards.  You can see the kit HERE

Friday Feature for Concord & 9th - Favorite Color Combinations

I'm super excited to be helping Concord & 9th launch their new color release this month.  The colors are so rich and regal and are such a great spectrum.  It has been fun for sure to work with brand new colors!

As I always do, I've settled into my favorites as I gravitate towards the pinks, peaches and reds but today I'm showing off some of my favorite color combinations that might be helpful for you.

I've used the Hey Bestie stamp set and dies along with the new Positive Print Turnabout Stamp to create the cards.

Color Combinations are:
(left) Grapefruit, Cranberry, Stardust and Mushroom
(right) Buttercup, Stardust, Eggplant and Wheat

Top left: Grapefruit, Cranberry, Stardust and Mushroom
Top right: Aqua Sky, Oceanside, Sea Glass and Peacock
Bottom left: Buttercup, Stardust, Eggplant and Wheat
Bottom right: Ballet Slipper, Honeysuckle, Grapefruit and Sorbet

I've used the same colors in ink for the Turnabout stamp background.

The die for this shape has two sizes, so I used the smaller die in the bundle to cut the opening in the strips and inserted the stamped and die cut sentiment. I then used both dies together to cut a narrow  frame for the opening. The flower is from the new Fresh Cut Florals Dies Edition 3 die set.
Next Friday we will be featuring our favorite ink and/or paper technique!

Hero Arts and Honey Bee Stamps Collaboration Blog Hop

Hero Arts and Honey Bee Stamps have teamed up for a collaboration stamp set called You Are Amazing.
For those of you who know me, you know sign language is a big part of my life so you can imagine the gasp I let out when I saw the I love you ASL handshape inside the heart!
The sentiments in this set are awesome in font and meaning, so many versatile sayings.  I just love the styling on these!

I stamped the heart in a peach color and choose coordinating cardstock colors to make stripes across the card.  I stamped the I love you sentiment below the stripes and filled in some white of the space with the cute little hearts in the set and of course a few self adhesive rhinestone jewels.

For this card I started with the Radiant background stencil.  I stamped the heart in a pretty teal color and embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder on black cardstock.  Quick and easy!

Please join us in the Blog Hop for additional inspiration from Honey Bee Stamps and Hero Arts Stronger Together stamp set collaboration.

Honey Bee Stamps Hello Summer Blog Hop

Welcome to the Honey Bee Stamps Hello Summer Blog Hop!
I've had so much fun showing you new things all week and today I have a few more.
Be sure to scroll to the bottom to see the blog hop list of other design team members who have much more inspiration to share with you.

Aloha!  This card uses the Lovely Layers Monstera Leaf Dies in white on the background and in green as the base for the flowers.  The flowers are made with the Tropical Bouquet Builder Dies.  Aloha is from the Sip Sip Hooray Sentiment Stamp Set and Dies.

I made this first as a table setting then scrapped the idea.  I was going to put this in the middle of a plate and put the napkin with a ring on it.  It wasn't coming together but it was too pretty to throw away.  The flowers are just laying on it and could be used as a corsage or boutonniere.
Be sure to follow along my Instagram stories later this morning to see what happened to the first wreath attempt!  >^..^<
The wreath is made from the Tropical Bouquet Builder Dies as are the flowers.  The large leaf in the back of the flowers is the Lovely Layers Monstera Leaf Dies.

These three cards are made with the adorable Raise a Glass Stamp Set and Dies.  I added with Scallop A2 Frames in black for each one.

I stamped the centers of the glasses with Distress Oxide inks and it left kind of an icy or slushy look to some of them.  I love it!  All Sentiments are from the Sip Sip Hooray Sentiment Stamp Set and Dies.
