Another year and other fabulous Rubber Garage Sale and Open House! 

I love to see the feet as we roll up the garage door.  It is always so exciting to know people are waiting to shop.

This year was no exception, many times it was standing room only in the rubber garage sale full of happy bargain seeking stampers!

 

 

 

There were 16 of us this year participating together, and I must say we had one heck of a day!

Well worth the time and effort to stand and price all those items, all the while thinking to yourself, 'why am I doing this'??  I'm sure some of you who have had garage sales know exactly what I'm saying. *Ü*

Swirly Bird Lollipops

Don't get sick of the new Swirly Bird stamp set and Swirly Scribbles Thinlits yet ok, because I have lots more to show you!   This was the only new set I had for a month before the catalog was live, so I have lots and lots of things to share with you in upcoming posts.

The minute I saw this set, I saw that big swirl as a lollipop, so that is exactly what I made for one of my team swap cards.

End of Year Teacher Gifts

The end of the school year has come and gone and now my baby boy is officially a Sr. in high school.  I wish I could say I was happy about that, but I'm not really.  For 20 years this has been my job and although I know it's not over, it's going to be very different.  I will be cherishing this last year at home. I know there are a lot of moms out there that know exactly what I mean. *Ü*

 

 

I used a few of the cards I posted last week for the gifts.  We added some candy and a gift card for 5 of his favorites.  Nicholas has an extraordinary year and those teachers made a huge impact on his life.  He wrote them very heartfelt messages in the cards and I actually had a tear as I read a couple of them.  If I were a teacher, that is exactly what I would want to hear from a student.  He will remember them forever.

They are packaged in clear card boxes and the ribbon on top is tied just around the flap for easy opening.

Marquee Messages

Today's card features a brand new stamp set called Marquee Messages.

This is one I received free when attending OnStage (the new name for convention) in Salt Lake City in April.  I will tell you, at first I had no idea what the heck to do with it, but after they showed it on stage and I played with it at home, it is rapidly becoming a favorite!

 

 

The image is actually all one piece, I stamped it on three different colors of cardstock and hand cut them out.  That way I have tons of pieces to mix and match for later cards.  I know some of you may think I'm crazy for cutting all those and although that is a different subject entirely, *Ü* I cut them over three days of waiting in the loop at school for the kids to come out. 

 

 

I popped up the arrow on Stampin' Dimensionals for a little pop.  This one I blinged out with rhinestone jewels all around for marquee lights.  The full card is below.  I only jeweled one of those, that would take a ton of jewels to do them all!

 

The white is Shimmery White cardstock and has a little sheen to it.  I started by using my Aqua Painter to do a light color wash over the background in Pool Party.  When it dried, it was a little lighter that I wanted, so I sponged over it a little.
