For YOU Card

I had to break out my big For You die set from The Stamp Market to send a card to our oldest son who has moved into a new place.

I cut strips in rainbow colors and used Score Tape to adhere to them to white cardstock.  Then I ran the paper through the Big Shot to cut the 'YOU' letters.  The 'for' is cut in white and adhered to the top.  Easy, quick and simple - the kind of cards I love the most!

Sweet Sentiment June Class Team Cat or Team Dog

It's time to show you the June class options for Sweet Sentiment, the online Copic coloring classes I have been taking.  I have really been enjoying learning all the techniques and tips and tricks that Jammie teaches.  As I say every month...I had no idea there was so much to learn about a marker!
This month the stamp set is from Paper Nest Dolls and is available as Team Cat or Team Dog.

 Team Cat

I prefer things a little less busy, so I put mine together with the paw print stamp in the background and a simple embossed dot.  Learning all the different cat hair styles and different kinds of cats was so fun.  The cat one is by far my favorite of the two sets.

In this kit you get 12 cat coordinated cat papers and an Odds and Ends pack from Doodlebug, the 3 piece stamp set from Paper Nest Dolls and the video from Sweet Sentiment on how to color the image.

This is the same image, I colored several for practice, *Ü* and put together with the contents of the kit.  There are some really cute pieces in there!

Team Dog

Here is my coloring with the dog stamp and again, so many furs to learn.  Super fun and Jammie does an excellent job of teaching you how to achieve the looks.

Created with the contents from the Team Dog Kit.

Classes with Sweet Sentiment can be found HERE.  There is a slight discount if you purchase both kits.

Creating Your Own Rainbow Part Three

In finalizing this series on creating your own rainbow, I have the colors I use most and below are the shades that are lighter and darker as well as this cutie card using Reverse Confetti new release products.

I was fortunate enough to be asked last month to participate in the May product release and I am having so much fun playing with this cute Ice Cream Social bundle.
I ordered the Vertical Stripes Cover Panel so I could add more rainbow to this card.  We all need more rainbow, right?  LOL          I love the versatility of this background die - you will definitely be seeing more of it.

My preference gravitates more towards reds and pinks, so that is where the majority of my colors come from.  Although green isn't necessarily one of my favorites, I use a lot of these colors in leaves and grass, so I have several shades there too.
As far as neutrals, I have a variety of grays and browns that I use repeatedly.  I don't really think of those as colors, so they are not as pretty to display.

Have you enjoyed this series on creating your own rainbow?  Would you like to see more like this?  What topics would you like to hear about?

Creating Your Own Rainbow Part Two

Continuing my series on creating your own rainbow, today I have the last three cards to share with you.
In case you haven't read Part One, the colors I am using are:

Rose: Reverse Confetti
Flamingo:  Reverse Confetti
Calypso Coral:  Stampin' Up!
Sunshine:  Reverse Confetti
Lemongrass:  Fun Stampers Journey/Spellbinders
Cool Pool:  Fun Stampers Journey/ Spellbinders

I really like this card, I think it might be my favorite of the six.  I used Honey Bee Stamps Perfect Blend Stamp Set and Perfect Blend Honey Cuts.

This custom rainbow card uses Hey Die and Well Wishes from The Stamp Market along with strips of cardstock cut 1/4" x 5-1/4".  I also have the new Gingham Background by Concord & 9th.  I am really loving this background!

The final customized rainbow card uses A Few Words Stamp Bundle from The Stamp Market and 1/4" strips of rainbow cardstocks.

All pretty easy cards, don't you think? I love the look of the rainbow colors.  Let me see what you choose for your rainbow.
