Swapping With The Freaks!

One of the convention highlights for me is swapping with the Control Freaks!  I am so blessed to be a part of this uber talented group of stampers.

Huge thanks to Cindy Schuster for the inspiration on this one.  I loved a card she made, so took bits and pieces of it and added a background with the new Draw the Line set to look like notebook paper.  Isn't that a fun look?

Clipboard Gifts

We have a new Michaels here in Boise and I found these really ugly (sorry!) clipboard in the $1 section.  They were bright orange but the notepad paper on them was SO cute!!! 

So...I fixed them! 

I used some of our Typeset Specialty Designer Series Paper, Filter Paper to make some flowers, a little Subtles Designer Series Paper plus Seam Binding Ribbon to tie them together with a beautiful Brighton Pen.  How there is a nice little gift!, don't you think?

 

 

I made the yellow notepad for Lorri Heiling along with a big bag of Runts - her favorite candy.  This should last her a couple days!  Ha!  I used the 6 x 8 cello bag on the bottom, the 4 x 6 cello bag in the middle and the discontinued smaller bag on top.  Stapled them all together and made a cute baggie topper.

BFF Gifts - Glitter Mini Muslin Bags

Convention is one of my favorite times of the year because I get to see my BF.  She lives in Montana so convention is a special time we get to share together.

 

I made her a few fun pillow gifts!  By now she has seen them so I can show you. *Ü*

 I used the Mini Muslin Bags, taped off the bottom, painted them with Mod Podge, sprinkled with gold glitter and let them dry.  I peeled off the tape then put a second coat of Mod Podge on to seal the glitter from flaking after it was dry.  I actually did it the next day.  It only took about an hour for them to dry.

 

 

I put a couple of the 3 x 3 cards in that I showed you the other day and some jelly beans.  I made a tube of 1" Snack Size Oreo cookies.  I made these for my Open House if you remember.  I got the tubes at our local scrapbook store.

 

I had a few other gifts for her also.  I found this cute little crock at Crate & Barrel, a Pandora charm of a dog bone for her new dog, and

 

of course something from See's.  Then while in California I found these chocolate covered almonds that look like olives...so I had to buy a tiny martini glass to put them in!  Isn't that cute??

 

 

I painted a few other bags while I had the stuff out for other friends. This is one of the main reasons I got into Stampin' Up! because I love to make cute things!!!  Don't you??

Cutie 3 x 3 Card Baggies

During the Stampin' Up! Convention I like to have fun things to hand out to friends I get to see just once a year.  I want them to be fun but not big and heavy as sometimes I carry them around for 3 days until I find everyone. *Ü*

 

This time I made 3 x 3 cards and put them in baggies with a little candy. I started by cutting all the Polaroid frames.  Of course I chose a size that didn't have an easy to use Framelit, so I hand cut them all...

 Then I used the Flower Patch stamp set and the Snapshot stamp set to fill them in.   

 

 

The 3 x 3 cards are in the 4 x 6 Cello Bags.  I filled the smaller cello bags (sorry now discontinued) with candies and stapled them all together. Created a baggie topper and viola - CUTE!
