OnStage Gifts For Kim

The best part of any Stampin' Up! convention is taking gifts to friends. These were for my roommate and BF, Kim.  I asked her what her favorite Stampin' Up! colors were lately and she said Basic Black, Whisper White and Cajun Craze...so that is exactly what she got!

 

 

A framed bulletin board on an easel for her desk.  Her favorite See's chocolates and of course a little coffee.

 

 

I'm really going to miss the Cups and Kettles Framelits, as you probably know, they are on the discontinued list. :( 

The flower is made with the Pansy punch.

 

I found the wooden words at the craft store and added a rhinestone and a beautiful flower made with the Fun flower punch.

 

 

 

The outside of the Café bag has a pocket with a Starbucks Gift Card. Did I mention that fact that I'm really going to miss the Cups and Kettles Framelits??  *Ü*

Paper Tassels For Notebooks

I made a few gifts for friends at OnStage and this was one of my favorites - paper tassels.  So easy and such a fun wow to add to notebooks or practically anything you can clip something to.

 

 

This was a standard 4 x 6 notebook from the back to school section.  I uploaded our Statement of the Heart to Walgreens as a 4 x 6 photo and then disassembled the wire from the notebook.  I used the cover as a template to manually punch the holes with the 1/8" paper punch into the photo. I had some coils from an old project and I assembled the notebook back together with it.

 

 

The tassels are 2" long and started off being 6" in length.  Place a piece of Tear and Tape across the top of the long end.  Use the fringe scissors to cut all along the length of the Designer Series Paper up to the tape.  Peel the Tear and Tape and roll the thing up!

In the jewelry department of the craft store I bought some findings and beads and the little clips.  Make a loop in the end of the wire, thread the beads on the wire and then the clip.  I inserted the length of the wire into the top of the rolled paper and secured it with hot glue.

 

Clip it to the spiral binding of the notebook and look how cute that is!

OnStage 2016 - So Much Fun!!!

Last week I was in Salt Lake City for the Stampin' Up! OnStage Event.  Nothing like partying with 1200+ of your best friends to feel refreshed and revived...ok, and a little tired!

I was fortunate enough to have 9 of my Inking Everything team members there to share the fun.

 

So much fun watching Sabine, my downline swap her 100+ swaps. She was literally swarmed at times, her stuff was so fantastic.

 

 

At the CentreStage leaders dinner, my upline Suzie brought her catalog. It was kind of dark in the Grand America hotel so I had to get out my cell phone flashlight! *Ü*  Everyone else was socialize and having hors d' oeuvres...us, not so much, we had different priorities.

 

It is a beauty!  You are going to love this new catalog when it goes live June 1st.

 

Of course I got to spend time with my BFF - the best part of OnStage.

 

I even got a lesson in Periscope from Tami White and Raquelle Batth, my downline.

Rose Wonder Stained Glass Technique

I love this card!  It was pretty labor intensive to make, but oh so worth it.  It's called the Stained Glass Technique and I have step by step photos below.

You start by laying down some sheets of Press n Seal to hold your roses after you cut them out.  I knew I was going to make several cards, so I cut a bunch. 

I chose to use Watermelon Wonder, Calypso Coral and Blushing Bride for the roses and Basic Black for the outline.

 

Cut them all out using the Rose Wonder Thinlit and don't forget the leaves.

 

To assemble the roses, you trace around the rose thinlit with any color of cardstock - I chose Crumb Cake.  it will be covered up so use what you have excess of.  Cover the entire rose shape with Fast Fuse adhesive.

 

Position the Basic Black outline of the rose onto the shape.

 

I started in the middle, it does not matter where you start.  My center is Watermelon Wonder color.  Pick up the pieces of that rose and place them in the blank spots of your Basic Black template like a puzzle.

 

Next section is Calypso Coral, fill all those spots in.

 

Finish off with the Blushing Bride pieces.  You will have enough rose parts left over to make several other cards.

I made several while I was cutting away.

 

Once you are finished with the roses you have all the outlines to use on another project.

 

I added the leaves using Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz cardstocks.

 

The aftermath of a time well had!  Isn't that a fun technique!
