I'm so excited!!!
If you had asked me a year and a half ago if I ever though my blog would pass 100,000 hits, I would have laughed hysterically! It's pretty amazing to me how this has evolved. I started my blog as a way to stay in touch with my California customers during my move to Idaho. It has most definitely served it's purpose and more! Thank you all for your support and continued loyalty. I've truly enjoyed every day of this blogging experience. So much so that I'm treating myself to a gift.
Tomorrow you will see a whole new blog face lift.
I'm very excited about it. I'm not a very technical person and I've learned so much about computers because of this blog. You would not believe how much progress I've made! So for me to tell the designer, Veronica Mc Collum, what I wanted was a bit of a blind folded guessing game for her! I'll apologize someday ;-) She did a great job of reading me and I can't wait to share it with you!!

OK, on with the important things...STAMPING ;)
The boys wanted a few little Christmas gifts for their school friends so we've been trying different things. They really like the smores kit, but I've gotta tell you...it's NOT my favorite thing ever. It just looks so out of place, or out of proportion or something ...what is it??? And, graham crackers are not straight! I bought a whole box of them and there were only 2 semi-straight ones in the bunch. They are all slightly curved, so when you close this, they break. I don't think this will be our final draft, but thought maybe some of you may have an opinion on how not to break them???? inside
Hayley Regan, www.mycrafthaven.blogspot.com, sent me a picture of her Milk Carton. "You may notice a slight difference, I made mine from 12x12 cardstock because I wanted them to hold a new baby outfit in one, a small teddy comforter in another and the remaining 2 were used to house goodies for the other 2 children. It took a long time to get the numbers right but I'm really pleased with the results so it was worth it."
I think it's cute also, thank you for sharing!

ReplyDeleteAs for the s'mores kits (which are adorable, BTW, how about putting them in a box instead...that way you won't have to worry about squishing the crackers.
Happy Stampin'!
Love the smores packages. Too cute!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 100,000 very well deserved hits! I love that I stumbled on your site - you rock. I'm diggin' the s'mores kit!
ReplyDeleteExciting ! Wow that is a lot. You worked hard though and have made many friends along this journey.Love the milk boxes and the smore kits. I would like to do that as well. Do you have direction. Try freezing the crackers before handling them. Maybe that will help.
ReplyDeleteI am way excited to see the new face-lift. :) I absolutly love your blog, you are so amazing. :)
ReplyDeleteI wish I had a suggestion for the graham crackers, but the little package is so cute as it is I don't think anyone will care if their crackers are a bit broken...plus they are just going to be eating them anyway. :)
Also, I just wanted to let you know I nominated you for an award over on my blog. :)
Congrats on the 100,000 hits! and I love the new LOOK. The Smores pack is great. I also got a call from one of my downline to tell me you posted my milk cartons. Thanks

ReplyDeleteI love the bear set and using it for the merry christmas s'mores is
ReplyDeleteawesome
but i have a question--what is in the bag with the marshmellows? It looks liks a "little Debbie's swiss cake"
This is adorable! Did you ever figure out how to modify it so the crackers don't end up breaking? Would a piece of fun foam in between the front and back as cushion help? Do you have directions for the container? I'd love to try and make one!
ReplyDeleteJane
Love both the S'more boxes and the milk cartons! Great job.
ReplyDeleteVery cute smores pack! My suggestion would be to break them already at the half mark. You break them anyway when you make the smores, so break them at the half mark so you know that they will at least still look nice and neat. :)
ReplyDeleteMmmmmm....SMORES! Great idea for the kit. Congrats on the hits!! Love the look. :)
ReplyDeleteHope your having a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family
