Our baby boy turned 15 this week! He's not a baby anymore (insert sad face) but we are so proud of the young man that he is becoming and enjoying every stage of his life that it's OK. More to celebrate!
He wanted an XBox for his birthday but was more surprised and delighted by his Shari's Berries. A little bit of our California life which we miss so much.
Later in the evening, he took a box from the refrigerator to have yet another strawberry and accidentally hit the box on the top of the shelf. The lid and the box separated and berries went everywhere! The chocolate cracked in a million pieces and flew off the strawberries as they crashed to the floor. In true Nicholas style he said 'no problem mom, I got this'...and proceeded to put them all back together and in the box! Amazing! I think that may have been more than the 3 second rule, but he didn't care. Thank God I had mopped the floor earlier!
This was a little project we did at Stamp Club this month with the plethora of Sweetheart Treat Bags I have. I had to cancel a couple of Valentine classes in January when my mom passed away and these were slated for that. No worries, we made them into non-Valentine treats thanks to a little inspiration from Janet Holmes on Stampin' Connections.
The handle is made with the Labels Collection Framelits & the Word Window Punch and then stapled over the bag.
The bag was score at 1/2" on both long sides and along the bottom and refolded into a paper bag.
