Eight Years Of Blogging Memories Part 1

I started my blog in 2007 when we moved from Roseville, California to Boise, Idaho in hopes of providing creative projects for my California customers and my team from far away.  Blogging was a fairly new concept and it took a while for my customers and friends to catch on - but you did!
In looking back over the past eight years I've been blogging I was deciding what to share.  The comments I get the most when I meet you in person is how much you've enjoyed watching my family grow.

This was the first photo I showed of them in my very first year of blogging. Stampin' Up! had just come out with the new 3 clip clipboard. Benjamin was 11 and Nicholas was 8 years old in 2007.

December 2015
Benjamin is now about to turn 20 and Nicholas just turned 17.

The first year we moved here was the first year the boys got to experience snow.  I remember waking them both up on a school day at about 6 am so they could see it...only to find out a few hours later that it was also their first snow day!

One of the most popular posts of the boys was this one in their sock monkey hats at Christmas.

You've followed along as Benjamin took on cake decorating.

For a few years I posted a lot of his creations until I was banned from posting when one of his high school teachers discovered my blog and made a comment to him at school.  Even thought it was positive, at that age it was horrifying that a teacher knew what he was doing. *Ü*

This was the last cake I was allowed to post.  A wedding cake for our friends Pauline and Rob visiting from Australia.  They had stopped in Las Vegas to get married and we threw them a surprise mini wedding reception when they arrived here!

You've followed along through his growth and my tears as he graduated from high school and headed to his new adventures at UC Berkeley.  Ya, that was a rough summer!

Then there is Master Nicholas and his plethora of injuries.

You've followed his baseball career through three broken noses.

And his five years of consecutive injuries of some sort all over Mother's Day weekends.  Thank goodness that passed!

Mattress surfing and the hole in the wall!

His love of great science or math t-shirts.

And a few hair do's!
He is now a Jr. in high school, has been injury free for several years and is the most delightful, witty young man a mom could ask for.

We will relive a few more memories in my next post.
Don't forget to leave a comment on my 9 Million Blog Hits posting to be entered into the drawing!

  6. Becky, you were the very first stamping blogger I came across when I entered the stamping community. You provided me with a lot of inspiration and I appreciate it! Your boys are awesome. I have three of my own, ages 28, 26 and 20. My oldest just moved to his own house and it was as emotional as when he went away to college. (He's been living at home the last five years, working on his house in his spare time). Luckily, he's only four houses down from us. Ha ha! Looking forward to more of your blogging memories. :)

  9. Congratulations Becky on 8 years of blogging. It has been nice to share in your creativity and your family. Thank you for sharing these family photos. It has been special to share these moments. What a lovely family you have. You can be very proud of them. I was wondering about why the cake sharing stopped. I know Mum, not cool to share photos of those. :) To many more years of creating and sharing on your blog. I love visiting here. xx
