Ben's Holiday Cake

It has been years since I've been allowed to post Benjamin's cakes.  For those of you who have followed me for a few years you've seen many other creations he's made.  But when he was in high school and his teachers were blog followers I was banned from posting. *Ü*

Over Christmas break he made a couple of cakes for special people in our lives and really enjoyed getting back into it.

I hadn't realized how much my grocery bill goes down when he is at school...Diet Coke, butter, Crisco, powder sugar, etc. It's so fun to watch him thought, I don't mind one bit.

I hope you all are enjoying this holiday season with your family and friends.  It's cold and snowy here in Boise.  We rarely get snow that sticks around very long so this is both a treat and a mess.  Nicholas is not too happy it happened over Christmas break because we were sure to have a couple of snow days in there!

Here is a little glimpse into our Christmas at home.

I got this shopping cart 2 years ago for Christmas and have loved decorating it for all seasons.

My antique typewriter gets a new message inserted for every season.  Thank goodness for the antique typewriter font!

Nicholas had to shovel the princess a trail so she could go potty.  I laughed when I came home to find this!!

We're down to the last few days of the Holiday catalog - it ends January 4th.

    1. The shopping cart is from an antique store and I think the banner was made with a Project Life kit. It was a gift.
