A Bit of Class Organization

I've been in need of this for a long, long time.  I needed some 'tools' to make my classes and events more efficient.  I set out in search of someone who could customize exactly what I needed. I found him and he delivered!

My table is big.  From any chair you can't reach the center. It was becoming more and more frustrating as my customers reached for products in the middle of the table.  I had searched for Lazy Susan's but they were all too small. I was searching for wooden trays on Etsy when I came across the Splinter Bin and Scott mentioned he does custom work.

He built me a huge Lazy Susan and it works perfectly for classes!

He also has on his site these beautiful decorative stove covers.  My stove has the controls on top and they are higher than the burners, so if I placed one of those on my stove the gas would be on and that's not good!

We all need more counter space, right?  So I had him custom build me a cover that was upside down and to my exact stove specifications.  Boom!  The perfect Big Shot station and now I still have my counters for other stuff.

It fits like a glove and clears the oven controls perfectly.  I thought being that is has 3 sides it might rock forward...nope, steady as can be!  It weighs a ton and is a solid beautiful addition to my class organization.

It has handles on the sides for easy positioning and removing.  I stuff it under the guest bed when I don't have classes or events.
I ordered a huge tray also with the intention of putting my coffee pots on them, but I'm thinking now I may use it somewhere else.  The best part is all three pieces are stained, painted and finished to match identically!  They're beautiful and I could not be happier!  Thank you Scott!!

  2. I really LOVE the Lazy Susan idea! I have a rather large wood one I have in my kitchen. I may have to kidnap it for my next class and then figure out where I got it to get another one. What a fabulous idea!

    Thank you Becky!
