What are your family traditions? Ceremonial end of the season pumpkin baseball is one of ours.
Thanksgiving Day was the day this year. It was a gorgeous and the pumpkins were about to spoil waiting for the boys to get home from college. In fact, some of them were a little ripe, if you know what I mean. Look at the expressions on their faces as they knew what was about to fly all over them! *Ü* Love it!!
Nicholas is up first and never missed a one! Being the baseball player in the house, he wants to hit the bigger ones for a more fantastic explosion.
Benjamin is up next.
This one was too funny not to include - that kid got covered!
Dad is always up last! I didn't hit any this year, they were bigger than usual and it about broke my hand last year. I need that hand to stamp with!
The line up and the before and after!
We cleaned it all up but there were seeds left here and there. I wish I could have gotten a photo of the squirrel family that camped out in the yard cleaning up all afternoon.
I'm not gonna lie, it was really weird to play pumpkin baseball without Sarah. She has never missed a game. Next year our catcher will Daphne and we can't wait to play with her!
She gets to come home in one week. It has been 17 years since we had a puppy, I hope I didn't forget how!
