Summer Of Stamping with Ellen Hutson

I'm super excited to be participating in week 2 of the Essentials by Ellen Summer of Stamping

What is the Summer of Stamping?
Each week there will be new Essentials by Ellen release and bunches of cardmaking inspiration! Be sure you are following along on her blog and Instagram for all the details.

This week is all about tropical inspired sets.

For my first card, I used the Aloha stamps and dies and its Tilt 'N Rock die that makes her hula skirt swing back and forth. If you have a stamp set that need to move back and forth, the Tilt 'N Rock die is the one you need.

I started by ink blending  sky and sand colors with Distress Oxide inks,  I stamped and colored the images with Copic markers.  I cut a tag to put my hula girl on and the Tilt 'N Rock mechanism is underneath,
I sprinkled a little water on the Oxide ink before it dried to get a bit of 'sand looking' texture.  The sentiment is embossed in black.

Here's the hula girl in action!

You can see all the Summer of Stamping new releases right HERE.
My second card is using the new Mondo Anthurium stamp and die.
I started by stamping Mahalo and Aloha all over the background.  I layered a piece of vellum over it and then the Anthurium which I colored with Copic markers.  I stamps and embossed Aloha and slid it under the leaves at the bottom of the card.

Thanks for joining me to kick off Week 2 of Summer of Stamping!

There is one day left to get this gift with purchase.  It ends Monday, July 19 at 11:59 pm PST.
