Summer Tres Chic Handbags and a Big Old Sale

It's time for summer gift packaging and new colors of pretty paper purses! I used a couple of these for graduation gift packaging - I love them with the flowers.

These are all the same pattern from one of the purses in the Tres Chic Handbag tutorial.  One made into a clutch, so no handles, and one has an outside pocket, which is NOT in the tutorial. 

This one has the Barnwood Background stamp from Concord & 9th on it.

  This one uses the butterflies in the Butterfly Love Bundle for the pattern on the background.

The bow is the Create a Bow MINI Die from Spellbinders.

This one has the Fine Line Floral stamp as the background and the flower is the Cottage Bloom Die Set from Spellbinders.

Scallop Notecard Dies and a Tres Chic Handbag

 I have a project with the new Scallop Notecard Dies from The Stamp Market today.  These are really fun - you can see a photo of the die below - you cut it and it has the score line for folding with the beautiful scallop edge.

They measure 4" x 2-1/2" after folding, so you easily get 4 cut from a piece of cardstock.

I paired them with the Skinny Upper Alpha Dies and the the gorgeous Garden Picks Dies from Altenew.  The scripty words across the alphabet are in the Scallop Notecard Dies.

They fit perfectly inside the paper purse - surprise, surprise!  This purse pattern can be found in the Tres Chic Handbags tutorial.

Paper Purses

 One of my favorite things is to make paper purses.  My second favorite things is to give them away.  

These were for my racoon loving friend - and she sure loved them!

These are small gift card size purses, perfect for small gifts, 3 x 3 cards and gift cards.

The black one is from my Fashionable Favorites tutorial, the racoon one is from Tres Chic Handbag tutorial and so is the teal one, although I slightly modified the sides.

These are good old fashion trace, measure and cut patterns and instructions and are not svg files for electronic cutters.

Tres Chic Handbags with Echo Park Paper

 Another photo heavy post but I think you will enjoy seeing the up close pictures of these cuties.  

Once again, I am playing with the small purses in my Tres Chic Handbags tutorial and one from the 12 Days of Christmas 2011 edition tutorial.  

All are  gift card size, 3 x 3 note card or small candy or gift size.

I used the Echo Park paper pack called Oh Holy Night Collection Kit and the coordinating stamp set.  I used Denim Days, Raspberry Berry and Gold Mirror paper from FSJ for the cardstocks. 

These three are from the Tres Chic Handbags tutorial.  It is an old-fashioned trace the pattern and cut, no special machines needed.  You cut the cardstock by hand and fold them up!

Embellished with a cardstock sticker from the kit mounted on a 2" Scallop Gold Mirror circle punch.  The handles are 3/8" wide strip of cardstock embellished with 1" circle buckles and Gold Fashion Dots.

The gusset is about 1' wide, this is definitely gift card only size..or money!

This one is embellished with a 1-3/4" circle stamped with a sentiment and accented with the cardstock stickers from the kit.  I tied 2 jingle bells on the tag and hung with twine. It is layered on a 2" Scallop Gold Mirror circle punch.   The embellishments on the clasp are Sparkle Drops. 

About 1-1/2 wide gusset.

This one is embellished with Gold Mirror paper stars on the handles.  Cardstock stickers from the kit are on a 1-3/4" circle punch and mounted on a 2" Scallop Circle tied with twine.

This is the widest of the three, almost 2" wide and can hold quite a bit.

This little purse is from the 12 Days of Christmas 2011 edition along with 11 other projects.  

Embellished with embossed pieces and a cardstock sticker from the kit, I added jingle bells to this one too - they are such cute little bells!

This one is about 2" wide and can hold quite a bit too.
