Thank You For Caring

This weekend I set out to write all the thank you notes for my mom's funeral.  The list is long and frankly it is just a little overwhelming, so I went to the store and bought some pre-made thank you/sympathy notes.  I came home, thought about it, and just could not get motivated...so I went upstairs and stamped a while and low and behold I made the thank you notes myself.  I think it was a little therapeutic...imagine that - stamping as therapy??  LOL!

Not only did I get them made, I actually got them all sent out - what a HUGE relief off my shoulders.  I was not looking forward to that task again so soon after I had completed all my dads.  Done!  I feel like a new woman!

 

I vowed a couple of years ago to put Lovely As A Tree away and never use that set again, but dang it...it's perfect for things like this!  Now it will probably NEVER retire!  Mom's funeral was in the snow and she loves pine trees so this was just perfect.

I'm so glad to be back home and moving forward.  Thank you, thank you  to the many friends who left comments, sent e-mails and mailed cards.  I'm telling you, after two back to back funerals, I can attest first hand to the receiving end of a card, being handmade or not!  There is nothing like getting something tangible in your hand to read and re-read.  I love social media...but one of my New Year's resolutions is to send more cards.
