Snowman Tea Lights

Even after all these years, I get SO excited when I find a cute idea!  I saw this snowman idea on Pinterest, posted by Darleen Adams in 2011.  She had the electric tea light as the smallest circle on a telescoping snowman card.
I decided to change it up a bit and add the adorable Sweater Trim from the Holiday Catalog!

CUTE!!!

1.  Face - Whisper White cardstock.  Punch first with  the circle punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (119309), then center the 1-3/8" Circle Punch (119860) over it and punch.  I'm not sure if all electric tea lights are the exact same size, so you may want to check first to see if that is the correct size circle.

2. Hat - Extra Large Oval (119859), Brim is Large Oval (119855), Circle on top is 1/2" Circle (119869)  Cut the Wide Oval in half, for the brim, punch an oval first them place the punch above the cut out piece to make a brim.  Add 1/2" circle pom pom.

3.  Glue these together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755)

4.  When dry, run through the Big Shot (113439) in the Square Lattice Embossing Folder (119976)

5.  Attach to the top of the head with glue.

6.  Eye and mouth are Pearls (119247) colored with a black Sharpie Marker.

7.  Tie his scarf with Sweater Trim!
 8.  For the back, a Scallop Circle Punch (119854) and to turn it off and on, I used the circle punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes Pack to put a hole in the back.

Sweater Trim $8.95   Available in three colors.

  36. I bought some of these at a 2013 craft show. The gal had put a pin or magnet on the back and they were sold as that - a pin. She was selling them again Christmas 2014 so they obviously went over well..

  37. I just discovered your snowman tea lights, they are adorable. I have never done this type of craft, where can I buy the punches and embosser? I tried goggling the numbers listed but they came up as not found.

    1. Hi there,
This project was in 2012 so I'm sure none of the links are going to work. You need an oval punch and a scallop circle punch. The hat is embossed with an embossing folder and a Big Shot. The supplies I used were from Stampin' Up! and I have no idea if they are still available. If you would like to email me at inkingidaho@me.com, I am happy to put you in touch with someone that can help you.
