Lottery Ticket Bouquet and Last Day of Sale-a-Bration

Our baby is 18!  Finally old enough to buy lottery tickets, so we gave him a head start with a bouquet of 18 tickets.

I think it was something like $46 in tickets and Nicholas won a whopping $3! Welcome to the real world right?  Ha!

In a few weeks, Benjamin will turn 21 - big years in our household.  Any suggestions for a 21st birthday gift?

Today is the last day of Sale-a-bration and the last day to join my team and get 2 free stamp sets. *Ü*

  1. I Love how your lottery ticket bouquet turned out! For a 21st birthday I like to make bouquets with mini liquor bottles. I hot glue a piece of floral foam into a dollar store metal bucket. I die cut the numbers "21" and hot glue them, along with all of the mini bottles, to skewers and poke them into the foam. Stuff some pieces of colored tissue between the skewers for filler. Then, make a hand stamped card to tuck in between the bottles. It's always a huge hit! You could also do a "cake" made out of cans of beer. Similar to those baby shower diaper cakes. Have fun with it!

  2. Happy birthday to Nicholas!! Time sure flies - I remember how young he looked in earlier pictures when you had your annual Mother's Day visit to the hospital after some antic or the other :) For Ben - perhaps a bouquet of 21 different gift cards for various restaurants/stores that he likes? A mini-album with pictures from each of the 21 years along with a gift card might be fun :) I can't wait to see what you come up with - your projects are always amazing!!

  4. Love the lottery ticket bouquet, and the great lesson learned on gambling. Lesson learned, but fun doing it.
For the 21st birthday, I'd suggest $10 gift cards to a couple of local brewery tap rooms with a message they be spent one day at a time. Why? It's enough to buy 2 beers, get to taste something new and unusual, and drink responsibly.

  5. Love your Lottery ticket bouquet! I did 21 gifts for 21 years. I don't know if that might inspire you? I included some fun presents, some personal things to reminisce on, and then the 21st one was the main present. Had such fun doing it! Judy x

  8. Benjamin's gift could be a very special key chain. Perhaps with his initials or a pinky ring with his initials.
