Today I have two brand new dies to share with you from Becca Feeken for Spellbinders. In fact, Spellbinders is launching a bunch of new holiday products today, you might want to take a look!
First up are the Holiday Wood Block Dies and I made shaker tags from this set.
The set of eight thin metal dies includes four holiday sentiments: HO HO HO, NOEL, JOY JOY and Tis the Season, two Poinsettia blossoms and a square frame. Mix them with the other die sets from the collection. It works well with the Christmas Cascade Card Base Etched Dies Set.
I die cut the words and then colored them with Copic Markers The red is R59,29 and 24. The green is YG97, 95 and 93.
The square die is about 3", so I cut a piece of cardstock that was 3-1/2" and cut the square out of the middle making a frame. I cut a window sheet and another piece of cardstock for the back so I could make a shaker tag.
The hanger on the back is made with two circle punches, 1-3/4" and 1-1/2".
Cardstocks used were Whip Cream, Candy Apple and Green Olive (which apparently is no longer in stock).
The ribbon is Special Day Organza...which apparently is no longer in stock either. I'm batting a thousand here today!.
Next up is Snowflake Splendor Etched Die set. It too is part of the Christmas Cascade Collection from Amazing Paper Grace by Becca Feeken. The set of eight thin metal dies includes three intricate snowflakes, three hexagon shaped frames and the words: Merry and Christmas.
These snowflakes are very delicate and so pretty! Hard to photograph though.
This card uses one of the hexagon shapes and I threaded the ribbon through the openings. I added a white snowflake and Candy Apple cardstock words.
I colored on the red cardstock with Copic Markers R59,29 and 24 to give it a little shading. Or as I say to myself when I am stamping...I'm gonna throw a little shade. Yes, I talk to myself. *Ü*
Ribbon is Candy Apple Satin
The background on this one is embossed with the Pretty Plaid Embossing Folder - one of my favorites!
