Mondo Wildflowers For Ellen Hutson

I'm super excited to be on the Ellen Hutson blog today with this Mondo Wildflowers card.

There is a lot going on in this card despite the simplicity, let me tell you about it.

Mondo Wildflowers Stamp Set and Dies.

I colored the image with Copic Markers.
Yellows: YR24, YR23, Y26, Y35, Y21
Greens: G85, G24, G43, YG61, G40
Blues: BG78, BG75, BG72, BG11, BG70
Reds: R46, R08, R14, R22, R02

For the background, I ink blended the center and spread it out to where there would be a little under the edges of the image.  I used Iced Spruce Distress Oxide ink and Bundled Sage

Before it dried, I sprinkled it with Black Embossing Powder.  It looks like a solid, ruined black mess, but don't freak out!  Use a brush and lightly pounce (don't rub, wipe or brush) the areas that are too heavy and then flick it off by tapping on the backside of the cardstock.  Keep pouncing on the powder and flicking until you have left exactly what you want. Then use your embossing heat tool to melt.  It looks pretty cool close up!

Once it is all dry (because you don't want any excess powder on this one!), stamp the sentiment in Versamark and sprinkle with Copper Embossing powder and emboss.

Adhere the image with Foam Squares.  I also colored and cut out some of the extra flowers and leaves in the set and positioned them at the bottom of the bouquet.
