Holiday Bazaar Goods

This Saturday, November 20th, I will be at the Holiday Bazaar at Discovery Elementary School. If you are in the area come by and say hi!

Somehow I managed to get myself in charge of the bazaar again even though Nicholas moved on to Middle School. :)

Nicholas wanted to sell a few items to make some iTunes money, so we put together a few candy items.

We used up our plethora of bags from www.clearbags.com. These are the 1x8 bags because I KNOW you want to know! :) He found these cute little old fashioned candies at Cost Plus World Market.

These are the same bags filled with Christmas M&M's. Finally I got my camera to catch the bling from the rhinestone. I'm sure I will never be able to do that again!

Aren't these cute? All those little Santa's waving at you!!

The little jars are only about 2" tall and only hold abut 20 of these candies or maybe 15 M&M's.

These were in the wedding section of the craft store and here is the label so you can make some too. :)

Nicholas loves wrapping Hershey Nuggets; he's done thousands of them for different things! These are packages in the Wilton Pretzel Bags from the craft store. They were way too long, so I cut the tops down before attaching the topper.

Tree Trimming Notes

I needed some thank you notes for the Christmas season. These are regular size, 4-1/4" x 5-1/2", but just the card front for a quick note.

Tres Chic Handbags - Christmas

Aren't these so cute? I love this card stand used as a purse rack. Ü

I used these as a project for my stamp clubs this week and am making a few to sell at the Holiday Bazaar on the 20th at Discovery Elementary School. They are from the Tres Chic Handbags tutorial available HERE if you want to make some too.

Yesterday I posted this photo and had questions about how to make it.

1. The Baja Breeze cardstock is 8-1/2" x 3-5/8". Fold in half for the present/card bottom. Seal the two long edges with Sticky Strip leaving the top opening to insert the card. DSP for the present is 3-3/8" x 4". Punch half a circle in the center of the top, then add a strip of ribbon.

2. Present top piece is 4-1/4" x 3" Score at 1-1/2" and fold in half.

3. Inside piece is: Real Red 4-1/4" x 2-7/8" & Whisper White is 4" x 2-5/8"

4. Add Stampin' Dimensionals near the top on either side of the snowman piece. Lay the stamped image on the Dimensionals. Add two more Dimensionals on top of the snowman piece and close the lid. Now it stays open slightly so it slides down over the present realy easy.

5. Embellish the lid as desired.

Christmas Boxes

I thought while I was making the stamp club projects I would make a stack of boxes like Patti Lee. She made the cutest Halloween tower and gave her measurements for the box which I will pass along to you.

Lid: 5-1/8" x 5-1/8", score 1" on all sides, Finished lid size is 3-1/8 x 3-1/8"

Bottom box: 7" x 7", score on all side 2". Finished box size is 3" x 3"

I would like to address some of the questions I've received today regarding my Stamp Club projects. Thank you for your wonderful comments and e-mails!! These projects are just for my local Stamp Clubs. I post them so the girls can see ahead of time what they will be making.

Will you do this class through the mail? Not at this time.

Becky, what is the cost for this class? This is for their club and is not really a class. They have a monthly commitment to each other to place an order with a minimum amount until each person has had a chance to host one month. Plus they have a project fee.

Do members know ahead of your postings what they will be making? No...I don't even know Ü We always work a month or two ahead of a holiday, that is a given. For example, we made Halloween projects in Sept., Fall projects in October and have Nov and Dec for Christmas Projects. We will do Valentine's in January, etc.

How many do you have in a club? I try to keep it under 10 but one of my clubs has more.

How long is your stamp club each month? I assume you are asking time...we meet at 6:30 and are usually done by 9-9:30.

Candy Cane Christmas Stamp Camp

Candy Cane Christmas Stamp Camp was Saturday. Thank you to all the ladies who took time out of their Saturday to stamp with me - it was a great day!!

These are my new friends Linda and Patrice. Linda lives in Oregon but was in town for the weekend, so she picked up her friend and joined us! It was nice to meet you both!!

Mini Pocket Books

There are fewer things in this world I love more than getting great pictures of my kids! I know, spoken like a mother...well, it's the truth! I had a fabulous photographer in California and thought I would never be able to replace him in Idaho...oh how wrong I was, seriously wrong!!!

I will tell you all about her but first I want to show you my new little treasure. I made one of my Mini Pocket Books with my new photos.

These little books are made out of one 12 x 12 piece of Designer Series Paper.

You can make all pages with tags in the pockets or you can switch it up like I did on this one and use some as pages and some as pockets.

I asked the boys to take their favorite thing to have a picture made with. Can you believe my husband thought that was the dumbest thing I ever thought of??? I told him that I would have loved to have a photo with my favorite things at some point in my growing up and I know they will look back on these photos and say, 'oh, remember when the iPhone or iPad was ...'

My mother was a teenager when pantyhose were invented and she and her sisters have pictures of them in their new pantyhose and I think that is one of the coolest pictures in collection. I love that kind of nostalgic stuff...that is why we scrapbook, right? For the MEMORIES!!!

I'd like to tell you about my fantastic photographer, Brenda Mallaburn. Brenda is absolutely amazing! First, she is English and has the best accent. I know you girls across the pond are laughing at me! The boys loved it when she said, "Don't even think of moving, I love it, perfect pose!" in her darling accent. They felt like movie stars with her constant affirmations!

She has so much fun taking her photos and has such a unique perspective through her lens. She is very engaging and focused (ha, ha, literally!) and gets exactly what she want with every picture.
