Desk Organizer Matching Basket

Thank you for all your well wishes and e-mails today. Yes, we are fine and Nicholas is recovering very well. I know it 's late in the day and I promised pictures...and interestingly enough some of you have e-mailed me inquiring about pictures, hmmmm... so here you go. But first you have to see this little basket I made to match the Designer Desk Set.
I used the Baskets and Blooms die cut and the Big Shot (did I mention to you all lately that I {heart} this machine and you really NEED one!!!!!) I used the 2 basket pieces and made a box thing for the inside instead of using the circular pieces that come with the die cut.
I cut my cardstock to 6-1/2" x 6" , score at 2" on all 4 sides. Cut the score lines up to the intersecting score lines just like making a box and fold it up. Sticky Strip the basket to the box and decorate! I made my box out of Riding Hood Red cardstock and covered the outside edges with the matching DSP.
I am going to put paper clips in it!

Stop here if you don't like seeing sick kiddo-s ☺

Here is my little Nicholas minutes out of surgery. The recovery nurse had the nerve to accuse ME of being a scrapbook mom!! ☺ She laughed and said she sees it all the time!
That is one hard little plastic cast on his nose!
They put the IV in his foot. He chose blue wrap...I wanted him to have the glittery pink but he gave me the 'get serious, Mom' look.

Almost ready to go home.
Thank you again for your well wishes and e-mails!
Tomorrow my baby Benjamin turns 13. After I have a good cry and a couple margaritas I'll post a couple pictures..... what a week!

  1. OUCH! Poor Nicholas!
    I can really relate!
My Son used to play ball for 3 teams when he was young. It comes with lots of broken bones and injuries.

I think it hurts the parents even more! sigh

I sure hope he is feeling better soon.

    Cheers,

    Dorothy

  2. Glad Nicholas made through surgery fine. I will pray for quick healing. Can I join you with wondering where time went? My eldest will be 18 in a few weeks.

  3. I went through this when I was a senior in high school - just before Christmas (worked out well for me with Santa) It will get better and in a few years, the cast will be a great trophy - my prayers are with him for a speedy and complete recovery!

  6. beautiful job on little basket very pretty.

Glad everything went well for your little Nicholas.

Don't feel bad about crying because Benjamin is turning 13, I am doing the same with my baby girl she is turning 13 in Oct. (I have a baby boy too which just turn 6, so I got 2 babys, 1 of each) heart breaking at how they grow so fast.

TFS your wonderful work with us
and sorry for being long winded.
