Yes! It's Coming!

Happy Saturday!
Stamp Club went well last night, they loved the little portfolio! Many of you have asked if I am going to release the project as a tutorial. Yes and no...I'm going to finish taking photos of the one I have here and post it on my blog as a FREE mini tutorial tomorrow. It's almost done ☺
I have a question for you readers...Does anyone know a US source to get the hardware used on the little suitcase on the front of the US Mini Occasions Catalog? I've just about have the suitcase all figured out using the 12 x 12 tag board that comes in the back of a DSP package and need a lightweight clasp thing to close it with. I'll share it with you ☺ I think SU! used a pre-made one they covered with DSP, but I want to make my own.

  10. Becky~I can't wait for the mini tutorial. It will make the perfect Mother's Day gift :O)

For the latch for the briefcase~try Lowes or Home Depot. They should have them in their latches section-in different sizes and weights.

    Can't wait for the tutorial.

  11. Darling project and "thank you" for the tutorial. The suitcase on the font of the mini is from Roberts Crafts. They just changed out the handles. Roberts has some latches in with their hardware stuff.

  13. skybluepink.com has tons of great hardware at great prices. Click on Products, then Hardware, then scroll down and you'll see all the closure things. I've bought hinges and stuff to make coaster frames from them. Fast shipping from what I remember.

  14. I am not sure if this is useful or not but Sizzix makes a Bigz die called hinges. Probably better for "looks" vs usefulness.....but just a thought. I have the die and could punch some out if need be.
