Pun Fun On A Pedestal!

Just getting back in the swing of things after a long holiday weekend and baseball tournament #2. Two down one to go...unless we win...Go Cobras!! We're headed to Districts this weekend.
My new Stampin' Up! goodies arrived and I barely got a chance to see them until last night. I ordered Crazy for Cupcakes since my Big Bold Birthday set was discontinued. It isn't a new set...just new to me! So I played with that one first.

I used the pedestal from Crazy For Cupcakes to stack a couple Fun Pun characters on for a fun birthday card.
Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
Stamp Sets: Crazy For Cupcakes, Pun Fun
Accessories: Razzleberry Lemonade DSP, Watercolor Crayons, Blender Pens, Stampin' Write Markers, Pumpkin Pie Striped Grosgrain, Fire Circle Brads, 3Flower Punch, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Eyelet Border Punch
Getting big!

See my baby up to bat getting ready for big hit??

Well guess what? He got the big hit...to his body!
That pitcher hit MY baby with the baseball. I about took that kids tonsils out!!!!!!!! Lucky for him my baby was fine after the swelling and pain went away! Sweet revenge tho, we won the game ;o)

  1. What a cute pile of animals! I don't use this set nearly enough and actually pulled it out yesterday.

I feel so bad for your son. Baseball scared me. I'm glad he is feeling better and the swelling and pain is gone.

  3. Love your card! The "On A Pedestal" set is coming to me via Mr. Brown on Thursday.. I'm going to have to improvise and try this out! As always - thank you so much for the inspiration! I hope your son has bounced back! Wish him well! ;0)

  5. How old is your son? Mine is 12 and has been hit by a pitch MANY times. When your "baby" gets a little older you'll be saying "Wear that!" because it's all about whatever it takes to get on base! Hope your boy was ok! I always tell mine that it only hurts for a little while and I have ice and ibuprofen. Great cards!

  7. LOVE that card! I have had my eye on Pun Fun for awhile now and I just might break down and get it. I love how you don't have to use the greeting part of it and it can become an adorable little animal set.

  8. I am glad your son was fine, baseballs are soooo scary and the injuries are tough sometimes! Thank God your son's injury is not bad...I would hate for you to go to jail because of "taking the tonsils" out of a kid...Oh, not because I don't want you getting revenge for your son...I would miss your great project ideas!! LOL But they have internet in jail now right? Well, then if it ever happens again, get revenge all you wish. LOL
Anyway, I am most impressed with all of your projects. I check in every day patiently waiting for any small dose of your creativity that I can get. I really like the way you used two stamp sets together to create this card. Also, I will become a demo on the 15th and I was planning a workshop/party for girls that I could offer. What you did was right along the lines that I was planning. Fantastic ideas and projects. I never thought of the beaded pens though. Could you tell me (1)how long the party was, (2)if you used sticky strip or heat n stick powder on the pen, and (3)the ages of the children in attendance. Great ideas and projects, and PLEASE keep them coming! Email me at creativepzazz@gmail.com.

  9. I'll admit . . . I'm afraid of the ball, would hate to be hit by one, and hate it when someone else gets hit! Even though I'm just now seeing this post (which is over a month old), I just had to comment on the men in the background standing behind the fence. I think it's odd that none of them seem phased by the fact that the young boy just took a hit. Can you imagine what the background of your photo would look like if it had been women standing behind the fence? LOL!
