Oh The Things I Get Myself Into!

This is what I have been up to this weekend! Typing, printing, laminating and cutting all the game pieces for the 'Amazing Race' type celebration for Nicholas' 5th grade class tomorrow.

Rolls and rolls of laminated cardstock to cut apart. Fortunately it was very easy to do...it just took a lot of time...stamping time that is, but I'm almost over it now! :)

All 50 states freshly laminated!

There are 18 game 'stations' here. Each game has an instruction sheet and 30 'go to the next destination' cards or whatever they are called...

Edited to Add: Hi everyone! I am receiving all the e-mails asking for information on the games and how it all works. I'll get back to you all this weekend. Thank you!!
Edited to Add 6/13/10 Thank you for your response this fun project. I've responded to the requests received up until this day, and will no longer be sharing the information. I simply do not have time to respond to individual e-mails.
______

Now on to something fun!

Look at this darling Purse-onally Perfect Purse and Notes class Sara Rimmelzwaan taught using Thoroughly Modern Designer Series Paper and Vintage Vogue stamp set. Great job Sara and I'm so glad you sent me a picture!!

  2. What an undertaking this all was.....great for them to take part in this 'race' - could I ask the principle of the game please. I'm in the U.K. and wonder if this could be adapted to any area....I take it it is a sort of treasure hunt as we call it over here? Would be grateful when you have a moment.

  4. How fun! My kids' 5th grade celebrations were a blast! Gage's was dressy and Broadway-themed. Lauren's was casual and "Survivor"-themed. Middle school is so different! ;)

    Hugs!

  14. Sometimes I think I have too much on the go, then I read your blog and just feel like a whiner!! LOL!! You are amazing. If you are sharing your "amazing race" game I would love a copy. michelle_thomson@hotmail.com

My DD had a throw together party last weekend and I made a quick digital scavenger hunt. I gave each team the clues (eg what time can I go to the gym) and they had to go find, then photograph the answer and bring me back their cameras. It was super easy and lots of fun.
