Last week I went with 12 friends to a truffle making class at the Boise Grange. I've never done anything like this before and I really wanted to learn how to make chocolate truffles. I asked Anjel if she would do a class for us if I got some people together and she agreed.
Anjel premade all the truffle centers as they need to refrigerate overnight. Pans and pans of truffle center in many different flavors. She did a demo for us on how to make the ganache and all the different flavoring options so we would know how to do it later.
We rolled truffle balls for almost an hour.
Then it was time to choose your toppings to roll them in after you dipped them in chocolate.
It was messy and fun and chocolatey! I now know why truffles are so expensive - they are a ton of work!
Some of the truffles got white chocolate decoration on top.
It was a great evening and we all went home with over 100 truffles!
Looks like he approves of my first experience with truffle making!
