Flower Fancy and a Cranky Cat

It's been a busy week here. I've finished my 12 Days of Christmas and I am so excited to share it with all of you starting October 1st!! But mostly I am so glad to have a break from the Holiday Treasures DSP that is on every project...of course that was the idea *Ü*, and get to stamp with some of my other new Designer Series Papers like this one, Sweet Always. It's kind of busy for me, but it's NOT a Christmas project!!

Cardstock: Regal Rose, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White, Blush Blossom, More Mustard, Apricot Appeal and Certainly Celery. Sweet Always DSP

Stamp Sets: Flower Fancy and Best Yet

Ink Pads: Pumpkin Pie, Ruby Red, More Mustard, Old Olive and Chocolate Chip

Accessories: 1/4" Chocolate Chip Grosgrain, Fire Circle Brads, Tag Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals

If you don't like cats, don't look below!!___________________________________________

Poor sweet Eric who is 7 years old now, decided to try a bladder infection for the first time. He's been pretty sick unfortunately but I've been taking good care of him. He spent 2 days in the hospital and was discharged with the same pink liquid bubblegum antibiotics my kids used to have. I don't know if he dislikes bubblegum, dislikes the swaddling George gives him so he doesn't claw me or maybe just me, but after taking his medicine pretty well for a week.... he's decided to develop this shaking of the head thing thing to get loose. I think the newness has worn off and he is just plain sick of this twice a day torture! Anyway, this is a hillarious picture. Poor kitty looks possessed!!! He eventually swallows it and I clean him up and love on him a bit before he gets let loose, don't worry. >^..^<

  2. Love your card. I remember those days with our cat Missy. We had to do that with her to and I found it worked best if you kind of stuck the thing back further in the throat and they had to swallow. Took two to three of us to hold her down to do it. LOL, was no picnic that is for sure! Hope kitty feels better so no fun to see them sick either.

  3. OMG that pic of your kitty all covered in that pick stuff is hysterical! Poor kitty. That's what we used to have to do to my dog. Now we give her beef flavored pills & she eats those right up.

  6. Love your card .... and your cat! Make him take his medicine! He looks just like my daughter's dear sweet cat, Taco that was her best friend. Taco was only about 5 years old when he developed a bladder obstruction in June. She took him to the vet & he was so dehydrated that they had to put him on an IV. When they hooked the IV up, he went into cardiac arrest and died. It was sooo sad and she still refuses to talk about it. It is just not fun to see animals sick.

  7. My husband and I are still laughing at the devil kitty. We were wondering if his head spins around as well??

  8. Been there, done that with the cats. The shaking of the head means he's feeling much better, and doesn't think he needs it anymore. You have my sympathy for medicating a cat with a liquid. I have never really mastered the technique. Thanks for a good laugh.

  9. POOR ERIC!!! I had to LOL! I have a 22lb Maine Coon Cat, I could just see me giving her "bubblegum" or not I think she would win and we would both be wearing it.

  10. That is kind of what Clayton looked like after eating the red frosting at his and Amelia's 2nd birthday party Saturday! (except, well, he was red, not pink LOL) I was crying when I saw that cat pic... I wasn't expecting it... totally caught me off guard! But, well worth it!!

Oh, cute card too... of course... you really don't make un-cute cards do you... although I still have my Becky-flub collection... LOL j/k (maybe) dun dun duuuhhhh!!

  14. Hope Kitty is feeling better but that picture is too funny! Animals are not always the easiest thing in the world to doctor. Thanks for sharing your story about your cat!

  16. What a hystical picture of Eric. I have an orange kitty named Leo, I laughed so hard when I saw that picture, I've so been there, done that with our cat. It is good to hear that he is doing so much better. I love your blog and visit often.

  17. I've just discovered your blog and am loving it. Your poor kitty! I know what this is like, though, being a "kitty mom" myself.

This picture totally needs to go on icanhascheezburger.com -- if you haven't seen it yet it's a site full of weird/funny pictures of cats (or "lolcats" as they call 'em) with captions, and this one definitely has caption potential! (I have a teenager, that's how I know about these things...)

Anyway, you do great stampin' work, and I'm sure I'll be back again!

  18. We have a gray tiger girl cat who just finished her pink medicine today. I was teasing she looked like she had lipstick on. Bladder infections are no fun for people or kitty cats. Hope yours is feeling better too.

  19. Well what kind of a weirdo doesn't like cats??? :)

Poor kitty - I feel for him. I hate that medicine that makes them drool too. Someone needs to invent a good way to give kitties medicine.

    I hope he's better.
