The $150 Card - Honey Bee Stamps

Do you ever sit down to make a card and then end up using 99 different things to pull it together?
I knew I wanted to make another fruity drink card, but I couldn't decide what to use with the drinks ...so I just kept adding!

I love how it turned out, so out of curiosity, I decided to add up everything I used.
For this one card, I used nine stamping products equalling $142.55 in supplies not including cardstock or adhesive!  Never, ever, EVER add that up in your head...just know that making your own cards is worth it and the recipient will love it! *Ü*

I started with the super fun Pineapple Cover Plates and white cardstock.  It was a little plain, so I added a yellow piece from the Hot Tropics patterned paper pack behind it.

I stamped the drinks and die cut them.  Stamped the pineapples (or Fineapples as they will now be knows as), colored them in and die cut them.  I couldn't really reach a layout that I loved so I decided to make a tiki bar.  That required decorating the bar with a flower garland and lots of tropical greenery.  then it was perfect!

Products used:
Pineapple Lattice Cover Plate Top and Base
Hot Tropics Pattern Paper and Gem Stickers
Fineapple Stamp Set and Honey Cuts (dies)
Raise a Glass Stamp Set and Honey Cuts (dies)

I love, love, love this newest release from Honey Bee Stamps!  We don't have any oceans, beaches or tropical anything in Idaho so this has been so fun to play with.

  2. When I first started making cards I told my husband we'd save money not having to buy them...well, we know how that turned out (lol). He asks people if they like their $2000 card. Thanks for sharing!

  3. Lol, if you make 99 more, that will bring them down to $1.50 each, right? Seriously, it's a beautiful card!
