Spellbinders Large Die of the Month

Happy May Stamping Friends!

The May Large Die of the Month for Spellbinders is called Stitched Card Front, Border and Flower. I don't stitch, I don't even pretend to know how, so I stitched these projects with fine line Sharpie markers.  Sorta cheating, but hey, I can connect the dots!
I also used the May Clear Stamp of the Month called Borders & Sentiments.

This was actually a really fun way to use the die.  I colored under each image with a marker that was lighter than the one I 'stitched' in for a bit of extra color.
I adhered foam tape to the back and put it on a card so it stands up a little.  Of course, I add jewels. These new Crystal Gems from Spellbinders are the most sparkly and brilliant jewels I've ever used.  I need them to come in a larger quantity! *Ü*

For my second card, I used the flower and leaf dies from the set.  I used the same method I described above for 'stitching'. I also cut a few leaves in green cardstock and did not stitch them for a little bit more color.

I stamped the little leaf flourishes in and about the flowers and colored them green and added the new Crystal Gems

  1. WOW! WOW! WOW! I spent all day yesterday 'stitching' the THANKS die from last months kit club and had just about decided not to get this months when I came across this post! I am going to try this with the THANKS card cause it is such an awesome idea but like you I don't do a lot of stitching...mostly just paper art! Thanks for sharing this idea!
